I have the simple kit from Midwest Grow kits and my spores are arriving tomorrow I have watched a lot of videos and will be following the clean oven method for inoculating. Any advice? Thankyou! And happy New Year everyone!

Damn thats an old tek. Try to check the date teks are posted, when in doubt don't trust anything older than 4 years. Theres good old information but its like finding a diamond in a pile of shit.
Most people nowadays just use a still air box. If you have a plastic tote your good to go.

That is what midwest sent with the kit as the instruction as it was the cleanest method of using the syringes with the jars as they had more success like this. Should I just still air it? I have only one tote that it came with as the fruiting chamber, should i be inoculating under it or something?

I will say I started with that same "oven door technique" as I purchased some of their grain spawn bags before I started making my own jars and still two years later now I have yet to make a still air box..... That being said I am now needing to make one to start cloning to agar with. I just wonder about the cramped nature of an SAB (arm space) and ease of use..... Although kneeling down in front of an oven isn't hardly comfortable, and it's hot, and ya sweat, and it kinda sucks. Lol. Now I basically have a small room that I use as a "still air space", however, I did have success using the oven door method even when inoculating grain jars with a MS syringe and only a drilled out lid and polyfill filter with almost flawless results ...... So if ya can't wait to build a box it will work, but an SAB would probably be better. .
It's all about that sterile technique!!! Lol

I ran out and got two giant 100 litre tubs as they were only 12 bucks at walmart and I plan to do a monotub after my first couple tries at these smaller ones. I cut 2 holes in one of the tubs, it is pretty janky but this shall work~! Oh well, will definitely be better than a hot oven LMAO! Thanks for the tips guys, Ill update later with how these jars end up!
