Contaminated petri dishes
    #24866061 - 12/24/17 01:51 PM (7 years, 24 days ago)

So I made clones in petri dishes a while back.  The other day I decided to put them to grain and petri dishes.  This was 6 days ago.  Most of the petri dishes have green contamination.  I don't see any contams in the grain jars as of yet.

Is it futile to try and go in and cut out the contams from the petri dishes and are my odds of contams in the grain huge considering that I have them in the dishes?

Yes.  Transfer clean myclium from contaminated plates to more agar until a clean culture generates then go to grains.
