Can these be bruising crom too much moisture or not enough?
    #24865406 - 12/24/17 07:40 AM (7 years, 24 days ago)

I have two trays that are soon great! They are pinning and the pins are growing fast!
But my issue is that they bruise, they heal, they bruise more, they heal. I only most twice a day because I thought the water was weigh down and bruising them, but I have a feeling my RH May be off. Strain is Psilocybe Martinique. Substrate is Coir/Verm/Hpoo mix spawn to rye grain at 50/50.

It can come from both.  From here it appears that your substrate is drying out too fast and that more dialing in of the fruiting chamber is in order.

Yeah, that's sounds very much like what could e the problem. It definitely looks like my substrate is drying out, and I do mist often. I did not know I would be able to do both at once, thought misting would help not hinder, but I don't know much.

Do you think the problem is in the sgfc specs? and maybe its not doing it's job? or is user end where I may have not properly misted, or the sub was not at field capacity. I have an analog hygrometer that cam pre-calibrated to shit, and 90% was saying 80% and it has even dropped one time to 65% and where times like I can say that there is an 8 hour gap between mist and fan where I work during the daylight.

Would say that the substrate wasn't at the proper moisture content upon spawning to bulk presuming the SGFC is built to specifications.

The hygrometer can be thrown aside, or used to monitor ambient RH of the room.  The hygrometer can't tell one what the humidity level at the surface of the substrate is, and that's where it counts the most.

As long as the SGFC is built to specifications, and the bulk substrate was hydrated properly upon preparation coupled with very minimal moisture loss during spawn run there shouldn't be a problem.
