what are those white spots on my drying shrooms...

Hey guys,
My shrooms are drying for two weeks now and they are still not dry in a drawer with a moisture absorber. Anyways, now suddenly i get these white dots on my mushrooms... please help me

If you don't have a dehydrator you need to be drying them in an area with good amounts of airflow, usually just sitting out on a table will get them dry in a day or two, not an enclosed area. The white spots are either mold or Mycelium growing due to your mushrooms beholding beneficial moisture and nutrients for other organisms to live.

I got a wood burning stove and a box fan and that's what I'm going to use. I'd say put them next to a heat source with a fan blowing that heat source across them. (I can't ID the white spots)

Yes that will work well also, but I too cannot ID the fungal growth seen on your mushrooms, the most I can say is that it's fungal growth forsure. It could be cubensis Mycelium trying to colonize more due to moisture being present still, but it also can be mold. You won't really be able to tell without a microscope to compare to cubensis mycelia.

So I will take the shrooms to a friend today he will dry it for me using his equipment but if i’d eat it with a chance for mold being present what would happen?
