Remember guys, the moment you see an opportuinity, do your thing tradewise and CALL BACK so that we are in on it too! This way the thread will become the collective early warning system that it intends to be and EACH of us can profit from the alertness of ALL of us.
Blurt it out in its best way and dont shy away from posting copypasta and graph etc screenshots to back it up.

Frankly, I don't see today's STRAT announcement about a full node staking GUI as a major development. This has been part of their Q4 2017 roadmap for a while now, and it's late in the quarter. So, to me, this simply indicates that they are more or less keeping up with their anticipated timeline of events, rather than accelerated development or announcement of meaningful new partnerships. The later two events would better warrant a sustained move in price, but given the nominal movement of STRAT over the past month (up some 300-400%), I would not expect today's announcement to produce sustainable upside in and of itself.

We're of course eager for it to take off better than the 3-4x increase over the past month, but still, this 24h period started at 11 and it went up to 14.5 briefly, so it went up 1/3 in a day so far - not bad
The word is out now and hopefully it will draw investor attention

Purchased POT at .31, at .36 now, I have seen selloffs more in the high .40s with higher highs over the past week, and am anticipating a similar move.
One of its spokesmen, Dennis Rodman, has been interviewing all over the place wearing Potcoin shirts, etc... hes got a 20/20 interview to be aired im waiting for. I think the hype will do good for the value of the coin.

What's you're overall view of STRAT in the long term? The CEO and founder recently announced that there are two stratis verified ICO's that will be coming soon for the first time but not before the end of January but whenever they do is when I personally feel the price will really start moving.
https://twitter.com/Khil0ne/status/941781077022199808 The link to the what he said. Edit: Not sure where he originally posted that but the stratis platform twitter retweeting it was how I found it.

I think STRAT is a decent alt play. They have had some execution issues throughout their tenure, but appear to be keeping it together and their goals are solid. I'm not personally invested in them, however I do have about 8% of my portfolio in a higher risk/higher reward enterprise blockchain play called Neblio (NEBL). It's thinly traded and doesn't have as deep of a team presently, but the available supply of coins is very low compared to most issues (~13 million), and I am currently staking my position for the 10% annual reward while product development proceeds. Thus far, they have met or exceeded their roadmap deadlines, and although Stratis has a deeper team and more exposure (which can lead to increased adoption and first-mover advantages), I think Neblio could be a sleeper worth the higher risk proposition.

I figure stay with winners. If one of your gambles pays off and goes up a bunch, why sell half and put it in something that may do nothing? Better to sell off some that have done little and use that.
Better to double up on winners and cut your losers, imo

I checked your suggestions out. With the way this entire monday has been it seems allllllll the cryptos are rising. Hard to tell which are rising just because of the current general crytpo wave and which are because they are actually going places long term, or hell, even short term past a few weeks.
I found a site that lists possible 'pump and dump' crypto rushes when I was searching for unbreakable and why it was up like 130+ percent with no real news or reason found.
Thought this might be useful for some of you

Speaking of raising, Reddcoin hits a record of 20 satoshi!!

I've been studying the buy/sell order feeds of XEM and ADA today, and how the resistance builds as coins are bought and sold. I took a ton of pictures as things were taking place, how clogs of orders on one side or another can somewhat predict which way a price will swing. Very interesting stuff.
I've been toying around with buy/sell stop limits, buying low and selling high with the odd coins out in said markets. Trying to accumulate satoshi in a couple different coins.
Coupled with this precived, new found knowledge of buy/sell action, I'm beginning to feel a little more comfortable buying/selling, and recognizing when to do so.
I think.

All these minus vertcoin went up 50-100% in the last week and at least doubled over the last month.
They were Token Sum positions, ie to expand the basket of cryptos moreover than for immediate gains, it just made sense to pick he ones that had good shortterm gains so that they help financing 5 more token positions which will hopefully be taken today. I'm financing these off gains of the Basket 20 which now has become a Basket 25 and come tomorrow hopefully will be a Basket 30. After I fill my basket on that exchange I'll leave it be and let the market do its thing. The exchange has a TOP-35 of fruitful cryptos and I want to plant a seed in all of them, to arrive at a kind of "index fund" style investment in their TOP 35.
What I didnt say yesterday, shame on me, is that I also picked up a more significant amount of NEO and this I intend to sell on the shortterm for some fireworks money ie before the end of the year, as I anticipate some growth there of at least 25% at one point.
In the last 2 weeks, for every $10 in I got $17.28 out so I'm not complaining, I'm fortifying my position for a better tomorrow.

I almost bought some of that today but I'm still to leery. I feel like I might be walking into a bear trap blinded by the shiny treasure.
I'm really trying to play it smart and at least half way get an idea of what each coins purpose is, but man, there are a lot of t hem out there and a lot of them seem like they are purely hype alone, or just make wild claims that don't seem quite up to snuff. I'm sad to say it but I actually wish there was more regulation in this market, even if it cost some of these massive gains, so I could feel a little more secure.
Ive started a bank transfer for another 150 into coinbase/gdax. I've put in 700 already not counting the 35 bucks in fees they charged my noob ass before finding out I can bank transfer to gdax ultra cheap compared to SAME COMPANY coinbase for 1.5 or 4%. I think after I hit 1k total invested when I get my next check, I'm going to stop there. If it all blew up and I lost a grand I'll be mad, but not broken.
I am mad I didn't mine bitcoin oh so many years ago when my tech friends told me about it. oh well. My risk taking behaviors seem to be more drug centered

Yeah, thats my problem. I know you've noticed that literally almost every single crypto out there has gone up at least 10 to 20%, most a lot more. Thats a worrying sign when THEY ALL do. Not trying to rain on a parade or anything, its just worrying for a new investor to see. I had a real hard time finding valid information as to why any of your suggestions went up. At least with stratis there was an announcement today so it kinda made sense, although it wasn't anything special at least an announcement was made so that alone can fuel the market. With the other 29485t249582942 coins out there I couldn't find shit. lolol.
I spent all day today (monday) watching gdax and bitrex refresh, tab upon tab of charts refreshing. I can see why the rest of the world is skurred.
Anyway, I'm going to watch those suggestion you made for another week. My bank transfer is going to take a few days to clear anyway because I don't want to eat another 4% fee from coinbase to get my money in the system this instant. In the other crypto thread I requested that maybe we discuss some of the longer term cryptos, their platforms, data, etc to see if we can figure out which ones are maybe better long term bets vs vaporware. We can keep this thread just for daytrading stuff.

There's definitely going to be a Next New Thing that will make Big Money suddenly withdraw from cryptos causing a breathtaking pullback.
I don't nearly think we are there though and after big money has gone, people still want to buy stuff with cryptos, such as deep web stuff (BTC), game (VOX), social media (RDD) or artist community (ABY) tokens or to buy functionality in a network (STRAT) so the coins will be around as smaller taters after the crash.
Let us ALL be utterly vigilant and chime each other the fuck in if we see potential warning signs of this crash being imminent so that we can be mostly out before it goes down.
Lets be our own Tsumami Warning System for our lil network of crypto investors.
