 Old Spore Syringes

A kid I know found 3 old spore syringes that are probably a year and a half old in a closet. Since they have not been in a fridge or anything, would they be ruined? Would it best, instead of knocking up some jars with the syringes, to use the honey tek and see if any myc grows? Thoughts?

Thats not a bad idea. You could just do 1 honey tek jar, and inject the rest.

I think thats just going way overboard...I would just innoc some spawn as is you would normally...LC teks take a little practice in most cases, and you might just waste your spore...If you have any practice with these methods go for it, but newbs are better off testing a few drops of a subject syringe on wbs or pf substrate.

There is no reason that they should be contamed unless you were sucking in air bubbles for fun. I do have some dought as to weather any of the spores are still viable though.

try one jar, i've heard of syringes older than that working being stored at room temp......growth may be a bit slow though.
