I’m wondering with the milder nights up here in the north and the recent snow/rain we might have a late flush coming on. I’m being optimistic here. I’ll have a look this week, it’ll be worth a little walk.

That's what I'm thinking myself. Few nights +4° so I'm gonna wait for tomorrow/Wednesday and have another go.

Been meaning to pop on here since Saturday. Friend stumbled across a gem of a field, around 400ft south/west Wales.
The field was teaming with libs, couldn't walk further than a meter without finding crowds of them.
Will take a few pics of the finds when I get home. Only one I have is this for now...
Just hoping to spark some hope that they're still around! 99% of them were fresh, I'm guessing popped up late last week. Hoping I can manage another flush before a big freeze

Same field still producing the goods. This is today's find. However, I think this will be the last lot as I had to hunt a lot harder for less shrooms, whereas two weeks ago they were dotted everywhere in large groups.

Good luck folks!

Just been out for a quick look, a didn’t have loads of time but there are mushrooms fruiting in the north east. If your thinking about having a look then go today or tomorrow. I’ll be up early in the morning for a scout about!

Wow, exciting.. I am in the south east.. a long train journey awaits then! I have a guaranteed spot, which through various internet searches (which I am quite proud about  ) I have found definitely has had fruits in the past. Am unsure of 'the rules' regarding maps of spots to find liberty caps, but will post it if its allowed.

Once I have at least one, I will make a print and try to spread the spores locally, or even colonise first and then whack it in a cow pat

I feel you. I've been dying to get on the train and hike for them but the weather just hasn't been good enough to be out there that much, not enough being found.

That being said what's more exciting is that there is still lots of mushroom activity after a good snow and I think were good for a flush because there was lots of new mushrooms today and it's raining overnight so fingers crossed!

Temps have been steady below 15 during the day and below 10 at night with lows not hitting any harder than 4° for 4 nights so ive got a good feeling as the fields were both dry and soggy damp. I'm becoming addicted to the hunt it's fascinating!

I feel that if we don't get them tomorrow or Friday then next week's -0° temps are going to ruin it.

Happy for everyone who's getting all these beautiful hauls even now, it's quite encouraging. I'm in the Inverness area, been here and there but haven't found anything yet. It's a bit daunting since I'm the furthest north of everyone here it seems. Still haven't checked Loch Ness. There has to be something there - would explain all the legends, right? Haha

Can I ask you guys about this map? Has it been accurate in your experience? Found it here on the forums.

Well I had no intentions on waking today of going shrooming after only 22 last visit... last minute decision at 2.15pm as I felt them singing to me!
Very glad I did...Norfolk is still going strong...another couple days I'm up again they were EVERYWHERE!
369 in an hour...

Don't give up just yet guys! x :mushroom2:

Nothing for me here in north east England. Two tiny dry pins that weren’t worth picking. I don’t know if my hunting techniques have gone or there’s just no libs out there

Wow, I am tempted to go tomorrow as its raining today, but it is 3hours travel :frown: is it stupid going around at 11-12 o'clock picking these things?? I think locally where I am going it would be very well known that it is a spot to find them

Even if it’s well known, a don’t think many people will be out picking this time of year. If it’s not too far away just get yourself out. Even if you don’t find anything... if you don’t look you’ll never find.

I looked this morning and still didn’t find:sad: haha

I go all times of the day bar really early...guess it depends where your spot is
If you have a good feeling about it go for it, that's my rule and it's worked well so far x

Popped out today for 2 hours to my new (this season) spot. Slimmer picking than normal, found about 50, all a good size; left the pin heads in honour of the picking spot for next season. Might head back out after the weekend, weather dependant....

Any know how long libs will fruit for given the right conditions?

Glad some peps are gathering something this year......peace..

A week ago I only found 1 lib at my spot. I returned back yesterday to see if any more have fruited and found nothing at all. I think the season is dead from my perspective.
