Outdoor cultivation, hot summer
    #24825334 - 12/04/17 12:46 PM (3 years, 5 months ago)

For the record, I have used the search function and could not find a thread specifically pertaining to varieties that will survive high temperatures. (This is not a question regarding fruiting).

So I have an old cake that I am going to transfer at least some of to outdoors.
Where I live winter can get as low as -1ºC and summer can hit almost 50ºC. I realise I may be wasting my time by trying anything outdoors. The variety is "Mexican" although I have some Golden Teachers and B+ about to start indoors. I have made some spore prints of the mexican and will do the same with the other two varieties.
Does anyone know which variety (not necessarily one of those mentioned above) would be most likely to survive the hot summers? (I know they wont fruit at those temperatures, but at other times of year I think they could).

"almost 50ºC"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_extreme_temperatures_in_Spain

If they can survive that then we´re good to go!
Thanks for the input!
