Proper temp for dehydrating sclerotia?

Hi everyone,
I harvested my first jar of sclerotia yesterday after a little over 2 months, and got a great 90 gram harvest.
I have a dehydrater that has a 95, 105, 115, 125, 135, 145, and 160 settings, and I'm wondering what the best temp would be.
Also is there anything I should look for to know when sclerotia is completely dry?
Thanks

Yea i've heard that they get very hard and can lose potency, the problem is theres no way i could possibly eat all 90 grams before they go spoiled, so i feel like i have no choice but to dry them.

Lol eating it all at once would definitely be way too intense
Does anyone have any recommendations for what temp to use and what to look for?

Store them in a mason jar in the fridge if you want to store them undehydrated.

Don't they only stay fresh for around a month tho? There's no way I could eat 90 grams that quick.

When my friend dries out shrooms to cracker dry he turns his dehydrator to 105 for about 24 hrs with no noticeable loss of potency and ends up with a great product.

They'll stay fresh for up to 6 months being stored fresh in the fridge inside of mason jars.
Stones are different than Cubensis fruits, though. Stones lose considerable amounts potency from being dehydrated.

Oh wow i didnt realize that, i wonder why sclerotia loses potency but not mushrooms.
If i cant leave them in the fridge would 95 degrees be sufficient enough to dehydrate them you think?

I believe you can wait a while to harvest the rest. They can stay in the spawn for a long period of time. Sclerotia is built to handle forest fires and shit. Any instance where it can't fruit.

Yea i am definitely going to wait to harvest the rest, but i already have 90 grams from this one jar already.
Unfortunately i cant put them in a fridge so im just gonna have to hope they dont lose too much potency.
Does anyone know if 95 degrees is enough? i want to go as low as possible to maybe minimize potency loss.

With stones it doesn't matter what temperature they were dehydrated at. Drying them at room temperature to 200F won't make any difference. With stones, once they are dry, a considerable amount of the potency is lost.

Heat doesn't make potency go away. We dry shrooms at 160+ and they are just fine. You can deep fry em too.
If anything the time it takes to dry them doesn't help things. So dry warmer than cooler

So say your a person that only do this stuff twice a year maybe 3 times. How long will the stones last in raw form still in the grain or verm? What’s a considerable amouth of potently more than half? 6 months, what if they are vacuum sealed?

General consensus is about 6months on grain. I've seen 9 months and have personally had stones last for the better part of two years on grain before contamination set in.

You could try putting them in honey since its not a massive amount, seeing as they last so long anyway that'd probably extend them as long as you need.
