Ultimate Trip Playlist

I know we've all seen this thread a thousands times but I've only tripped once and the only thing I regret is not listening to more music while tripping. That being said I plan on listening to a lot more music on my next trip. I was just curious to see some suggestions from the community so I can make a pretty awesome playlist. I have all the typical bands that people consider "trippy" and listen to almost anything. So let me know what you guys think. I'll edit this topic with the ideas I get so people can benefit from the playlist as well.
Thanks!

I'll quote myself from another thread about this, but before I do that, I want to add something.
Simon and Garfunkel.
Listen to this song, and pay close attention to the lyrics. It's a story about wealth and happiness. It's wonderful to listen to and think about on mushrooms.

Psilosomniac said: Well, so long as this thread is still going, I suppose I'll chime in. I like blues, jazz, lots of different types of rock, a little alternative (this gets iffy), and stuff like that. Here are a few of my recommendations.
First of all, anything by Radiohead would be absolutely beautiful. Try this one first. It's my favorite song by them: Climbing Up the Walls - Radiohead
All of their stuff is magnificent music. The Bends is my favorite album by them overall. The Bends - Radiohead
Next, I'd recommend Sufjan Stevens. One of my favorite musicians. He plays all the instruments in his songs (except some select female vocals, of course). He's an EXTREMELY talented musician. It's great. Here's a song from his latest album, Age of Adz. First song, and it's pretty short, but it's so hard to pick a song that represents this album. This is probably my second favorite album of all time (and I listen to quite a bit of music). It's a bit more mellow, but again, this is pretty beautiful music. Futile Devices - Sufjan Stevens
And here's a song that's a bit more instrumental and a bit less experimental. This is my favorite song that isn't on Age of Adz. John Wayne Gacy, Jr. - Sufjan Stevens
I'll give you one more artist. I'm sure you've at least heard of Tool. Well, I've been listing my favorite bands here in reverse order. Tool is my favorite band. They've got it all: great riffs, impressively composed songs, excellent and deep lyrics, amazing guitarwork, drumming, vocals, basswork. Here's my favorite song off of theirs, off of my favorite album of theirs, which happens to be my favorite album of all time. Lateralus - Tool
Here's one that's a bit different. If I were you, I'd look up the lyrics for the beginning part. You'll laugh, I promise. Rosetta Stoned - Tool
There you go. I just summed up my choice songs from my top three bands. I would have posted some blues, but I don't think it would be that great for tripping compared to these. I think these would go excellent while tripping. I'm impressed that you've listened to all the songs that have been posting. Anyway, hope you like them.

feelsterrifying man. That song scares me a bit when I'm stoned
A friend of mine and I joked about listening to this song on DMT. I think that would be terrifying.

Definitely gotta throw some MGMT in there. Especially the track 'Someones Missing.' Pretty much anything by them though. A lot of The Doors (especilly the track 'The End', FO REAL), Led Zeppelin (kinda more for when ya just regalur high though i.m.o but still would be good), Animal Collective. It really all depends on what you're into. Those are some of mine though.
Try making your own music. I'e read that that can be AMAZING. Bongos seem like they would be bitchin.
Oh and none of this is from experience. Just ideas

Good to see that not everyone is into the psytrance and stuff like that.
Makes me nervous sober, would probably make me wanna kill the stereo tripping.
As for me:
Classics such as Grateful Dead / Hendrix / Beatles / Jefferson Airplane Some mellow olk skool reaggae / rocksteady Psychedelic rock / folk Anything jammy and goodvibesy really.

This: Tool - Lateralus
Pack your bags, you could spend years there.
OK, and if you're REALLY going for it, try Steve Hillage - Fish Rising.
Without a certain critical mass of psychedelics in your system the lyrics will make no sense at all, but break through and you'll experience one of the peak psychedelic albums of all time.
'Nuff said.

Seriously.

The lyrics in this song are so deep its incredible. "Ride the spiral to the end; you may just go where no one's been."
