i was in home depot the other day and noticed they had on sale these, how would i describe them? - wine storage units. basically it's like a small fridge with a glass door to keep your bottles of wine in. the unit is plugged in, and the temperature is regulated - around 55 degrees. i forget the price, maybe 60 or 70 bucks. anyway, i thought this would make a wonderful growing environment for the cooler weather fungii. has anyone tried using these? from a quick inspection at the store, i surmised it would not be difficult to hook up a humdidifier to it. The ideal temp. will be sustained, and the glass/see through door will allow light to enter.
I've thought about using them as well. A hole can be made in the side to hook up a humidification source. If you do this, you'll have to be familiar with the refridgerators own mechanism to reduce humidity, if it has one. If I had some money I'd have one of those. If I get some money, count on a few details in the future regarding my own refridge adventure.
