Is it safe to birth the cakes?

Hey,
I had these odd black dots on the surface of the substrate in my jar which definetly wasn't black mold, it looked more like dark chocolate pieces. I wanted to take pictures of it, but they disappeared as the myc took over.
I'm just a bit worried that they didn't just disappeared but just got pushed in. And black is not a good color.
Is it safe to birth the cakes?

Yeah,  probably a good idea. I'm just afraid that I'll spread whatever that is and contaminate the whole house killing everyone:p
But I inoculated only 3 jars, 2 of which are colorfull, so I'm really counting every chance.
And btw does anybody know what the hell that was? It seemed black and squishy, like a drop of oil, but more rigid. I can say that it "grew" in 2 places. Cuz it looked like it had the capability to grow, but it didn't for some reason.
