Not in the UK myself but in europe. I have been researching large pressure coolers and found a few older threads where the consensus was to just pay for the shipping of a 21qt from the US. This still the case or any decent UK suppliers for pressure cookers?

@drkew yeah I got myself a Tower PC from Amazon, but I'm not sure I rate it that much... if you're starting out, try any old cheap piece of shite, and see how you get on. if you're serious, I'd say invest in a bit US one, I'm sure you'll make your money back pretty quick

The Hawkins Big Boy pressure cookers are decent, i got the 14ltr for £80 on ebay. (They do an 18l too).
It take six 1 litre jars comfortably, it's a bit hard to keep the weight rocking but ive not had it affect my sterilisation, its rated to 15psi.

I also have a 14L hawkins and can vouch for it although the lid can be tricky fo some people until you learn, I dont mind but i know 2 people that struggle with it. You only need to be 2% smarter than the equiptment to use it. 14L hawkings fits 6L jars at a push, I usually do 5L and a 750 pasta sauce jar. It also fits 2 2kg bags. It may fit 2x 2.5-3kg bags at a push. I'm going to be testing this this week. Feel free to remind me for extra info if interested.
If you want anything bigger than that theres the presto 23. and If you have the money to spend All americans, pressure cookers or electric sterilizers come in various sizes. I'd suggest checking ebay/Target/Amazon for a presto, and amazon/ebay for an AA. If you find anything better/ cheapest please let us know. I'll have to change the 3rd post. It was possible to get a presto for 98 quid shipped from Target us to uk. its now 186, exactly double the price, but still cheaper than Amazon, . I know I should have got a couple when they were cheap. FML. For that price you could probably build 200L drum super pasteriser that would go to 2psi for 20 hours or so.. Cool down takes forever though like 2 days..

alright folks? I hope all's well?
does anyone use Gypsum? I've tried to find some and this looks like the best value for money
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/500g-Calcium-Sulphate/380354438675?hash=item588ee42613:g:rkUAAOSwjDZYbQr3
£4.18 for 500gms
looks a bit funky though... at the moment I'm using crushed plasterboard, but thought this might be better quality. any thoughts?

eBay 27 quid.
eBay link: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F141847082578
Am I seeing the right price on this presto. I'm sure it said 60 quid.
https://intl.target.com/p/presto-174-aluminum-pressure-cooker-canner-23-quart/-/A-660065
It is the right price but with express shipping takes it to £121. Still cheaper than what I paid for it.

I like to bulk buy
Oh and the presto yeah definitely. I was thinking with the idea of a second. 20 jars at once. I can fuck up on a even bigger scale then.

That looks granulated. Also I'm confused by the label and the percentages? Is it pure gypsum?
I've been going to buy a 25kg sack. Thought my local build supply would carry it as its on their website. Gave to sites a ring and they say no sites in the company have any on hand. I suspect that most plastering gypsum would still be pure gypsum, but I still have concerns that it may have platicisers or fingicides in it but I doubt it. I also see its prety easy to get a 25kg for under 20 quid delivered here http://www.specialplasters.co.uk/minerals/agricultural-gypsum.html Might just do that to save on time. I bought 25kg years ago left it at a mates and they threw it out.....
About the presto, I may get one as well. I was looking the other day and it was showing 186 on targets website which was a kick in the nuts after they had the 10 pound off code thats not expired but with that it was under 100 quid. I've relooked at it now and turns out that i had 2 in my cart some how lol.
I think the presto 23 holds 10 1qt jars. 7 an 3 on their sides on top. Or 4 spawn bags, somwwhere between 3-4L each from what I've read.

Black friday deal at Dove farms. From tomorrow will be able to get 25kg of organic rye delivered for 28.80. use code BF10 for 10% off. Typical I just ordered a bag last week at 35 quid on amazon.
