Well....are they? Or are they simply just another burden for humans? It seems that human do need social interaction action but i wonder how true that is

I love my friends.
They help me when I need help.
Have my back if I need it.
And provide a sense of family between us after moving away from my blood family.
To answer your question.
I would say, yes, they are important. But real friends though. Not Associates.

Seems like dead weight. In my experience people tend to be rather needy and unbearable. It makes me question why people want friends.

To not have intimacy seems to be the goal and a source of strength. I think a Pyrrhonist would find holes in your reasons. Isn’t the point to rid oneself of such attachments? Would not friends be burdens then?
It seems like life would be easier without friends. I mean if you need friends then that kind of makes you weak

family is necessary as they are the guiding figures in a childs developing life.
necessary and helpful are two different things.
you would argue that having a solid relationship with your father (as much of a douche bag that he may be) is more important than having a relationship with a seasonal friend?
i say this with all the experience i have, that i prefer building that connection with my father over my friend.

Can I add that I think Thanatos is just depressed and that's all it is?
I struggle to meet people and make friends historically speaking but I have been under the influence of paranoia.

Imo hes asking himself important questions....some that few do seriously.
I also when tackling these questions have had trouble trusting any others opinion but my own.....mistake.

It greatly depends from person to person.
In general, yes they can be great.
The few people who are shit will make you question everything though.
