Hey guys I had a quick question about colonization time for 28L mini mono. What do you guys think the average time it would take to get to 100% colonization? Mine are on day 9 since I spawned them. I can still see the Coir and verm, but there are white knots all over both tubs.

fruit that now. you can also fruit at spawning but you made need to mist more since the substrate is exposed to more air.

So i just need to take duck tape off holes, stuff with polyfill, mist and fan a couple times a day, is that right? Is ambient light fine, or should I get a 6500k bulb to put next to them?

id get the bulb. remove the tape. use poly if you want. micropore tape is much easier to use and less messy.
kep the surface moist and glistening. not soaked. just mist when it needs it to maintain the beads of moisture. fanning is 100% unless imo.

Okay cool, i have micro pore tape, I'll try that first since its not messy. I'll pick up a bulb later today also. So keep it moist but not soaked, and you say fanning is useless? So it will get enough FAE with the micropore tape?

Yes it will be fine and looks swell. I think you will have a decent yield if all goes well. Peace & Love

Put them into fruiting conditions yesterday, instead of using polyfill I just used micropore tape, 2 layers on bottom holes and 1 layer on the top ones. I only had to mist it once yesterday, the tubs hold moisture amazingly! I'll keep updating as I go....so it should only take a week to get fruits correct?

Oh I think it can take much longer than that. might take a week or two just for pins.
But, they will come

So it's day 4 of fruiting, tub 1 is looking pretty good! Tub 2 is doing good, I'm noticing these little white dots popping up in spots and a weird patch in the top left corner... Tub 1:

Toss it before it sends out spores and infects the other tube

put it in your garage, outside, friends house or down by the river and hope for the best. Maybe bury it in your garden

So plant it outside? It's winter, so will it just freeze and then come back in the spring time?

It might but its no good in your house and will just cause future issues, you've got 1 tub so dont sweat it and try better next time.

So i took tub 2 out, just have tub 1 now...yesterday i saw a green spot so i spooned it out of the tub...also out of my 19 jars I had agar>WBS i had to toss 2 of them with green mold in them...it was crazy, barely move the jar and a green cloud would swirl around inside....at least I know what to look for now. I wonder what caused this... On a lighter note, tub 1 has pinning! Went ahead and removed the micropore tape from the top holes, and 1 layer off the bottom holes. I haven't had to mist at all with the tape on, it stays very moist (i think almost too moist, maybe that's what's caused this contams?) But i will watch to make sure it doesn't try out.
