From distance they look okej, could you poast a close up of one of the jars? That would make it easier to spot anything bad present.

you should be able to zoom in but if not I can, I have them just didnt post. I think theyre clean. I have a more not quite as far along. knocking on wood here no visible contams in any jars.

Can you guys give me an guess how close to full colonization those jars looked? I've never worked with WBS and was just curious - broke up 25-30%. I'll check out some fully colonized WBS jars - I have one more filled quart at that amount (approximately).
I'll do 2 tubs with the 8 as long as they look clean at 100% - doing this leaves me close to a 4" sub which might be over kill but I dont think it matters that much as I dont need to strech my substrate out and I'd like a little over 1:2 ratio.. Though if I ever thought it was overkill Id use a little less substrate out of the bag. The substrate bags are 7.5 quarts and the tubs I use are 58 quarts. 4 quarts popcorn and a substrate bag went to about 3.75" sub height, (im sure my quarts are bigger than the popcorn was)
I have 8 or so less filled quart jars as well done a different day that may have been broken up sooner than the others - all the same strain to be fail safe. got a bunch of manure mixed with a few other things like coir, straw, etc. These were not as colonized I believe hence a not as quick as a recovery.
EDIT - please advise on original colonization question, i think theyre probably about 90% based on the mycelium I saw in jars. Mine seem to have more sunflower seeds in it though thats why I am asking.

28 hours later - looking great. Again how far away did these jars look from full colonization? WBS is new to me. I saw some dark looking jars on a thread but they might of just been consolidated

Let go another 4 days or something before spawning? The rest are making their way, no visible contams anywhere

will spawning with a couple sunflower seeds/whatever looking slightly uncolonized, (I see other areas where the mycelium has covered the sunflower seeds, but..) they seem stuck (a couple I can tell need more time). I guess I'll wait it out but I just don't know how soon to get this done. By the way these jars are on day 17 - started the second

So we had our final harvest of my first shoebox producing some pretty large fruits.. was proud of the monster being held, some were just under the same size though. Tossed the substrate and I am ready for my monos:

The above jars are being spawned today.
Each jar is filled above a quart. Those 6 jars were all from the same batch and colonized great. I was thinking 3 of the jars in each of 2 monotubs with 7.5 qts of manure/straw/coir mix. I don't want to use any of my other 9 or so jars as they were prepped a different way. Do you all think this is an acceptable run for tubs? I did 4 qts popcorn to 7.5qts of manure and that performed great.
Just checking opinion as it is my thanksgiving spawn day.

Just a little update to my log / attempt. So, I spawned these 25hrs ago - I've never stacked monotubs and I couldn't help but notice the humidity being higher in the bottom tub. Both tubs spawned with 3 way overfilled clean quarts(looked like no bacteria in any of this batch - smelled like mushrooms )
With the other less filled quarts, one syringe "A1" to 4qts took clean it looks like and the other "A2" has definite bacteria in 2 jars out of the 4), each with 5lbs of manure. I haven't measured sub height but looks fine.
Curious about that humidity though. No noticeable effect on sterilite stacked tubs? I can always put another tub down to get the top one off since it's only 2. Thanks!

fyi myc can colonize duct tape i think. i wouldnt use it. cheap ass brown packing tape is cheaper anyway.

You didn't notice humidity you noticed condensation. Its cooler near the floor. So yea duh more condensation
