This is where i love the glovebag cause its not that much of a bitch to work with. If its a syringe to agar, theres plenty of room for a drop in each plate. Done. Jars i do a few at a time for maximum work room

You can use one of the denser areas, either transfer again for maybe stronger growth, or straight to grain. Either would prolly work. Lighting makes it harder for me to tell but in pic 3's light it looks fine and dense enough

Yeah more like a punnett square on acid. Where you'd normally have 4 squares inside a box.. it can be more like hundreds. Sure bod can explain it more scientifically.

looks to me like the food coloring settled in one corner... OH I see now. you mean the culture itself. any time there's divergence from the leading edge I assume contam. that being said I think it's just a subset of genetics that is a little slow
