These are my first jars of popcorn I split up 3 pasty plates of CRS between them some jars got more than others but I shook the ones in the first pic just to see what they would do 3 days ago and the next day they had recovered enough that when I turned them upside down no kernels fell. What do you guys think?

I'm gonna look into doing that actually. Obviously any we'd make would have to be bigger unless you want to have to eat a bunch to trip.

 This culture cannot be stopped!
Also, can anyone tell me what LGT is crossed with? It behaves like it would be APE but I'm not sure.

If I’m not mistaken it’s not a cross but was merely a mutation that was selectively bred for it’s phenotype

the variety ghostie that is floating around here is also a golden teacher that a member stabilized a luecistic gene

Does anybody know what locality the first Golden Teacher mushroom was from? So the wild specimen the variety was derived from?

Thanks, with this I was able to find the following:
Quote:
The Golden Teachers spores has been around since the late 90's when The Hawks Eye first started selling mushroom spores. It was first discovered growing in a pile of dung and straw on a horse ranch in Georgia. Although spores have been banned in Georgia and we do not ship there, all Georgians has to do is look around their country side as the reports we get is there is plenty of wild cubensis growing around ranches and farms. The Golden Teacher cubensis spores has been one of our best selling spores the last couple of years. Talk about irony, Georgia bans the spores yet their home state spores are mass spread throughout the world. Perhaps it's God's way of making sure His creations continue to thrive and be shared.

I did some digging on here and remembered this https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/7955902 so other than the hawks eye (now mushrooms.com) it is claimed that the origin is unknown, we will never know for certain! I'd check out Rose's journal if you have any other questions about varieties, that's the most compiled info on varieties I've seen yet.

Well, the Hawk's Eye was the first to sell it according to them, so it stands to reason that they know where it came from. That there's been some mix-up along the way as to what it's origins are doesn't mean that it's unsure where it came from...

Agar dump
Some exotics

The weird Redboy clones. I have it labeled as Redboy X for my organizing purposes. Can’t wait to grow this out.

Monocultures?

And a funky APE clone
