I transferred the cubensis peg, to verify cellulose genetics, it took only 2 days to regenerate and regrow. The growth appears to prefer the enriched cellulose, speed is normal for this cellulose method.
Growth is more populated than oyster in the same environment, but less pushing out. Refer to my cellulose agar alternative for start and end images of oyster.
As expected the sample and substrate(s) are clean of mold-other. Can be used as a germination media, and pass to agar.

Slow to start, but it should eventually go pop!

Switched my agar (was a good price) seems I can pour at a cooler temperature I'm assuming due to the impurities. I used to pour at 118°f now I'm pouring at 104-106°f but my plates have never been clearer nor have as much condensation buildup.
Transferred a pin and it shows great rizo growth waiting too see if the transfers do as well. Just thought it was interesting.

Here is some surface shots of 10% brown rice spawn to WL-Tek. The brown rice acts as the fast release nutrient source. Spawn at the bottom, 15cm (6 inches) below, it took 2.5 weeks to fully colonize, [alternative method].
Ideally spawn should be clean, however a mild bacteria-yeast infection is "ok", but not ideal. Yeast and bacteria can adapt to other carbon sources, even cellulose (plant fiber).

----
Cubensis notes:
Carbon sources: Cellulose, starch, monosaccharide's (sugars), other. Nitrogen sources: Dung (ammoniacal, ureic), proteins, other. Lacks: Laccase or detection of relevant materials.
Fruits from:
Dung with straw, plain straw and spawn, enriched soils. Please note dung is a fertilizer, and is decayed.
Sub notes:
The preferred pH range appears to be 5.5-6.8. Inhibited by plant defenses (extractives).
Some of my nitrogen data here.
----
Enjoy!

Wikipedia.
Mea is 20g malt powder 20g agar and 1L water. Pasty uses pda as the example in his agar tek

I dont have any photos at the moment, but some of my tubs have been developing yellow water droplets that sit on top of the sub, every tub that has gotten these yellow droplets has eventually gone on to grow trich...anybody know what causes the yellow water droplets?

Can't be sure without pics, but it sounds like metabolites. Mycelium produces metabolites for various reasons, one of which is a response to bacteria. So that being said the reason those tubs green out is probably because the bacteria has weakened the mycelium enough to allow trich to take hold. At least this is what I've gathered from the research I've done. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

yeah i thought it was metabolites, but metabolites wont harm the mycellium, from what ive been told.

No, metabolites won't, the alleged bacteria causing the metabolic response will though. Anyone who's used knowingly bacterial spawn or cakes has seen this proven as bacteria will reduce yield and flushes because they mycelium is expending energy it could've used for fruiting to fight off the bacteria.

Glad to see those with experience confirm my statement.
I love your experiments ferather, the ones I've seen at least. What lead you to doing such exstensive research instead of just cultivating like most of us?

Bad people, who tell false information! No, mostly I wanted to work away from contamination and get improved growth-yield. I've focused on fully exposed working, basic pasteurization, using clean additives, not adding starch-sugar!
Ultimately without knowing it, I was seeking what I now call "carbon controlling".
It's not the quickest method ever, however it's much safer.
