Only 2nd Grow hopefully its not messed up.

Well this is my 2nd grow ever. My first grow was very successful and tasty I kept the same strain as this time as I had last time, Golden Teachers. I have setup a SGFC that's only 16 quarts. I drilled holes on just the sides, as well as the bottom,. 12 each. I have the tank lifted up off of the ground a couple inches and a towel underneath. Well this grow I inoc. 6 jars, and out of those 6 1 got contaminated so i trashed it. The first couple got a bit more spores that say the last 2 jars because the syringe kept getting stuck when i went to push it, then when it would release and all these spores would go flying in lol. All jars are 100% colonized right now. I wanted to do some experimenting on pinning this grow so I am keeping 2 cakes inside their jars until i see pins. The first 2 that fully colonized though, I have already birthed. The first cake was placed into a 2 liter bottle at first because I thought I would do that instead of the SGFC due to discretion.
Well that first cake spent about 4 days in the 2 liters and i got impatient and decided to build a SGFC instead, like from the first grow. The second cake i let stand fully colonized in the jar for about 3 days and birthed it straight into the SGFC and it's going on day 3 in the SGFC.
Now here is my main worry. I accidently messed up the 2nd cake that was birthed(cake on the right)that is why you can see that little chunk taken out of it because i went to catch my containter and thankfully i did, but it sliced off a piece of my cake!! I was so mad at myself i couldn't believe it. Will this cake still fruit? why has there been no fruiting on either one yet?? I've been misting, fanning multiple times a day and its getting at least 12 hours of light from and led push on and off light that sticks to the side of the wall (not in or on the container) the first cake i birthed has been in there now for 5-6 days(cake on the left) it has been looking yellowish whitish but with some bruising and i want to think that whatever is on top of it there in the picture is just bruising as well. It hasn't been treated the best either, its been knocked over into the perlite a bunch of times just by me having to lift the SGFC every time i goto mist/fan. so there are some small beads of perlite on the cakes too, i try getting off as much as i can, are these cakes ruined? I really hope they can still be saved they aren't even old yet!
Someone please provide me an answer to some if not all of these questions I'll be posting the pictures below.

You're right I skipped the verm roll only because these were ordered jars so i never had to buy verm. If I need it I will get it but i knew enought that they would still fruit without some. I know about misting and how people say not to directly spray the cakes, but should i do that in this case since you think they're too dry? Or should I just mist heavily right over the cakes?

Without verm you could probably benefit with a bottom watering such as this

I think I'll give it a shot, if they actually ever pin. I'm just hoping I haven't messed up those 2 cakes permanently

Will the damaged cake still produce? Will it get contaminated?

It should be fine, if it goes green toss it.

On the cake on the right in the photo, where the chunk that's taken out of the cake at the top there, it seems to have turned almost a blueish/greenish color within a few hours to a day. I'd have to say it looks just a shade more blue than it does green while it just mixed in with the verm. I really do believe it is bruising. I just want to be safe and know for sure obviously.

If your cake was in fruiting, and is than damaged a lot of the time it will blue, just take care of it and it'll repair itself, you should be able to tell if it's trich, its got a certain look that's kind of like lumpy

Yeah I believe it is. But these cakes have never fruited not even once yet. I haven't gotten any signs of pins at all yet.

alright, I'll just have to wait a bit longer. I was really counting on having a couple grams dry by not this weekend but the next.

So then you don't know about misting? Because the cakes should absolutely be directly sprayed. Why would you not spray them?

Oh seriously? I always read around different sites that say not to directly mist the cakes for some reason.

Okay well good, because I've just recently started misting them directly now then trying to fan them right before I I put the lid back on.

I think from your OP, they're in a SGFC? if so no fanning is required either.

My cakes took over a week to pin, so just have some patience and keep misting them.
