I'm atheist/agnostic. But if there's one thing I worship, it's the animals I eat. 1

They say Jesus sacrificed himself for our sins. Um, yeah ok.
Back down to Earth.
Day-to-day, I am *alive and well*, because of the livelihood that I inherit from the flesh of the cows and lambs that I eat. I breathe, move, and think because of the sacrifice of these animals' lives.
That's the real sacrifice that I am grateful for, every day.
I even use this gratitude to push through longer periods of intermittent fasting. I loosely follow an alternate day fasting program, where I eat one meal every other day. Usually it's not that hard, but some days the cravings are a real bitch. Whenever I feel like caving in, I find it helpful to remind myself, "Bitch, STFU. A cow gave its life away for you, what's that compared to going a few more hours hungry?" And sure enough, the intermittent fasting lifestyle further promotes the sanctity of each and every meal. Back when I was always eating all day long, every day, I was very numb to the act of eating; I never gave any thought to this stuff. I just ate mindlessly. Now I eat more deliberately. Every meal is an event. An event of a sacrifice that has tangible, real value on my life.

What you're doing isn't much less ridiculous than worshiping Jesus or any other diety

Well, I beg to differ. Imo, hardly anything ridiculous about reverence for a natural phenomenon that is observable to everyone.

Hedonism? Where did hedonism enter the picture?

It didn't give its life away willingly though. It was forced to and raised in a living nightmare before it finally died.

Animals should be respected, but I think using the word worship is going too far.
Technically we dont need meat to live, you can live off plants and vitamin B supplements. Jains lived on plants alone, probably acquiring their B vitamins from underwashed plants collecting feces / minerals etc.

Yes, of course not willingly. And that is what underscores the sacrificial nature of the carnivore/prey relationship.

I, for one, don't support confined animal factory operations. Those are terrible. I fully support free-range, pasture-raised, grass-fed cows.

Technically, yes humans can go full herbivore, with the help of supplements. But providing that one's overall vitality and health are optimal under a diet rich in animal-sourced foods, going full vegan may not be a practical option.

ANIMALS
I don't know if you know but I was told by the spirits that the answer is "Animals"

Grass fed doesn’t necessarily mean better and neither does free range. Ever seen a free range chicken farm? They stay in the barn. Ever seen a free range cow farm? They leave them out in the shitty, caged environment until they die.

My friend keeps his chickens in the barn over night, but lets them out every morning to roam around and dig in the grass. A little pointer: a good way to get your chickens eaten by some wild animal lose chickens is to keep them outside at night

just cuz we can eat animals doesnt mean they hold any sort of metaphysical or religious signifigance. You're literally making a sacred cow. It is not a "phenomenon" that animals eat other animals for food, and its funny how your way of worshipping them is by buying their mutilated body parts and eatin em with BBQ sauce.
This is likely just a thought you had last night while you were high, and youre gonna realize it was retarded in a couple days and forget about it.

If OP worships animals because of energy..then he may as well worship the sun, water, air, fruit..etc

If you really worship the meat you would kill and butcher it yourself ? Not really special if you kill it with a plastic card or with paper notes
The best Meat that I have have ever had was what I killed with my own hands. I would rather not eat store bought meat its just not that nice

I don't know about worship but I try to be thankful for the many things that give us all life.
Aside from actually sustaining us with nourishment/energy without the sun and many other things life would never have made it this far.
We take a lot of things for granted, like clean water.

Ive noticed that saying you kill your own wild meat is the only way to shut up the moral elitists. Like its only ok to eat meat if the animal lived to be 30 in the wild and had a house and a college degree.
