Noobie ID help please, Northwest Georgia
    #24756692 - 11/03/17 10:57 AM (6 years, 4 months ago)

Hey guys, newbie here looking for a little help with an ID. I don't believe it is an active due to the lack of bluing, however the spore print is black. Just curious what it is, non-active panaeolus or something completely different. I've tried my damnedest to follow all the rules for proper ID postings, let me know where I screwed up. Thanks in advance!

Habitat:
Found in NW Georgia growing in deciduous tree litter, specifically Water Oak leaves and limbs. Very well composted. Also a few yellow-orange shrooms growing nearby, I'm assuming galerina's.

Gills:
Gills are a grey color with black in bewtween, gradually turning brown towards the edge. Do not seem to be attached to the stem.

Stem:
Hollow, white, 2.0-2.5 cm long. No noticeable bluing.

Cap:
Convex, 1.75 to 2.0 cm across, tan-brown color. Small band around bottom edge of cap, could be due to drying.

Spore print color:
Black spore print

Bruising:
Bruises greenish-brown. No noticeable bluing.

Thanks man! For future reference, is that considered a black spore print or should I be looking for something darker? I had read psathyrella had more of a brown print vs. black. Or is it like everything else, varies greatly due to conditions?
