Thanks! As aggressive as that mycelium is I wouldn't be surprised if it's fully colonized in 5-7 days, maybe less.

00Burnout said: You're good bro, I should've clarified. The only thing I'm having a hard time finding info on is a) how many quarts does the typical 50/50 recipe make using a 650g brick of coir b) is there any way I can store my remaining bulk sub.
I'm only using 2 qts of spawn so if I made a full batch of 50/50 that's a fuck ton of left over sub.
Did you ever get this answered??
I cant answer it because Ive only used plain coir. I make 8 qts from one brick. I use mine when immedietly so idk about storing it. I hope someone answered Im just wondering.
Best of luck.

I did a little digging around and it should be fine in the bucket, it just might dry out. I used Damion5050's tek

Thanks! It was fast as hell since germination. I'm definitely taking some clones and I'm going to keep working with this culture, maybe eventually get a wicked fast isolate

start with clones. its time consuming and rewarding. think about isolates in a few years. i spent the last summer just testing clones. lots of eating. thats enough fuckery in of itself.
ive got a few im going to grow out this winter. maybe..maybe by next year ill think about doing 250transfers for random isolates

I'll take your advice, I don't have the space to store all the plates used during isolation work anyway.

7 Days After Spawning This son of a bitch is taking it's sweet ass time, I suspect it won't be fully colonized by day 10 but who knows, maybe it will get it's shit together and colonize my sub by then. I'm guessing it's going this slow because I used cakes, maybe it was a touch bacterial, smells nice and earthy though so idk. Most of the surface is covered with a thin layer of mycelium that the picture doesn't display.
I know a few members introduce fruiting right at spawning, maybe after day 10 I go ahead and introduce fruiting to speed things up? What do you guys think?

Yup, one of the corners got trich. I think my spawn might have been a touch bacterial

That too bad man!
I would just like to say that cheese grater + BRF always gives 100% in 3-4 days tops if 1:2 to Coir (4 cakes, 2qt Coir). Even if they're bacterial I get several flushes out of them. When I dunk I just pick out all The weird lookin contaminated myc and put the tub into fruiting again for another flush!

Thanks! If I wasn't switching to grain I'd start doing that. I've got more clones and ms cultures right now than jars to inoculate, I think I need to slow down on my agar work lol
