methods to attain proper rh for PFtek cakes?
    #2475138 - 03/26/04 12:33 AM (14 years, 2 months ago)

I know most of the info is in the teks themselves, but I just wanted to know if anyone here knows of any unique/makeshift humidity ideas I could use. It's recommended to maintain 90-95% humidity within the chamber. I'm using a fairly large container, which is definately not beneficial to the rh of the fruiting chamber, so I'm pretty sure perlite isn't going to suffice. I've heard of people using fish tank heaters and such, which I lack, so that's where my question comes in.

Anyone know of any relatively cheap methods to attain the proper humidity required for fruiting? Any info would be ridiculously awesome.

Thanks pirates.

Oh cmon, I'm a fun guy.

Optimal RH for cakes is 95%-100%.

How many times do I have to tell you, I was running through the woods and tripped on some mushrooms!!! Well, at least I'm not lying.

perlite will work just fine. just make sure your water level is lower than the perlite. perlite woks by sucking a little water into it and then letting it evaporate into the air. if you drown your perlite, it wont do its job correctly.

In otherwords, i never had a problem with perlite, as long as a inch or so of it wasn't under water.
