Im wondering how im supposed or rehydrate a wbs casing after each flush ?
Do i just use a syringe and stick water down the sides and drain it off then add a new moistened casing layer ?
Im lost on this procedure so any help is greatly appreicated

If you have some holes in the bottom of your casing pan, you can dunk it for 6-8 hours then let it drain good.

if you dont have holes in tray its easier... just fill up with water...cover with foil and put in fridge over nite. next day drain water anyway you see fit and then put it back in terranium.

use some h202 also when you soak it...

i never understood the exact timing for the period of dunking, what would be the difference for dunking the same amount of water in the casings for 30 minutes as to 12+ hours? Aren't they technically the same amount of moisture rehydrating?

You want to give the substrate some time to soak up some water. Leaving them in there longer than 10-12 hours just isn't logical! I do 6-8 hours!

??? what does this mean? brush off casing layer? you mean to separate the casing with the cakes? That would cause contamination out of control, wouldn't it?

I just dunked mine for 30 minutes to see what would happen, its been two days and I see some pins coming up. Not all the casings are blooming but half are, its only been 2 days so it shoudl be alright, right? ALso I only tried doing 30 minutes cuz last time I did for several hours I got nothing but contaminations even though there was bleach in the water. They were also soaked all the way down so I took them out in 30 minutes.

Also, please explain to me what takeing all the casing off means before dunking??? Why would you do this when you need to casing layer for moisture and protection.
