Id go ahead and shake it before u get a solid chunk. My shit has gotten so rhyzo there is no shaking at 30% it has me like cool! But fuuuck at the same time

Will try tonight... issue is that right out of the pc i coulnd't really shake the things.. i had to beat the shit out of them to get the grain to one side to get agar along the glass... was told my grains might have been a touch too wet.. live and learn

That plus starches, try prepping your grain at a lower temp an rinsing them better. I had the same problem an it was a fucking bitch to breakup

Yeah.. i used fooman's method which was great and worked well.. but no gypsum which i was told helps keep them from sticking together and not drained well enough before jar/pc.. it's all bout experience though

Use a little less water next time. Gypsum isn't nesasary, but it will help with the thwarting of the clumping together of the grains during the PC cycle. However, gypsum won't solve the problem of the seed being overly hydrated.

Ok you will never use a germination plate to inoculate grains. A germination plate will never be 100% clean. It takes several transfers to get away from contamination.
