PNW possible P. semilanceata
    #24743408 - 10/28/17 02:57 PM (3 years, 6 months ago)

Habitat:
I found these on the side of the road between the asphalt and a forest of Doug fir and western red ceder. Grassy with wood-chips throughout

Gills: Grey, slightly purple.

Stem:
4-8cm long, ~3mm thick, white to mottled, brittle, hollow, thin.

Cap:
1.5-2.5cm, Light brown to tan, conical to bell shaped, (hygrophanous?)

Spore print color:
Deeply colored (almost black in picture but after sorting my fingers had dark purple all over them)

Bruising:
Hard to tell what I see could be bruising or spore deposits

Looks more like panaeolus species.

Yeah, what makes you say that?

I am leaning towards that (Panaeolus sp.) or Panaeolina foenisecii or Panaeolina cinctulus.

They look like the panaeolus species I have picked.  I don't think your specimens represent the species you mentioned, though.  Perhaps they are Panaeolus semiovatus var. semiovatus?

compare your finds to the following

Yes those look what I have, I guess I was getting hopeful. Thank you for your help! Have a great day!

Edit: I don't think Ive got Panaeolus semiovatus as it was clearly growing out of a woody substrate

Do you say that due to the purple spores?

I say it because they do not appear to be Panaelous.
The stipe isn't correct.
