Chopped straw

How do most of you do it? When I search for straw choppers all I get are industrial sized hayslingers for feeding animals.

If your doing a lot lay the straw on the ground and run over it with a lawn mower.
Then rake it up.

If you have a small amount to do, put the strw in a large enough container to put a weed wacker while it is running. A large garbage can works well as the straw doesn't get spit out the top of it as easily. This way creates a lot of dust its a good idea to have some sort of face mask.

You can also put it in a garbage can and hit it with a weed eater.

I had thought of getting the leaf eater, but chose the other because I can also use it to make sawdust from woodchips/hardwood mulch
