I do not enjoy it.

My back was hurting, the water made me float in a way my body isnt used be in. It was weird. I got out before my time was over, my lower back was in pain

You must be a heavy computer user :P.

At my house we have vertival float tanks, that solves most/any of this issue.  The neck/back issue of the horizontal tanks is semi-common and goes away after 5-6 floats as your posture actually gets slowly readjusted for the better.

"Ah shit that sucks. At least you can put that on your doesn't work list"  - unfortunately Totally not the right attitude in this situation. If one sits to meditate one day and gets uneasy after 3 minutes, they may get up walk away and never try again. Another may experience the same, but try again the next day and sit for 4.  Mindfulness is daily practice.  Floating is a skillset to be learned by practice, it does take time.

Yes, this is usually what the people charging $100/hr to float will tell you.

We (our tanks) personally 100% run on donation basis it essentially only covers our electricity charges.    handfuls of people give us $0. most give us 20-40.   :shrug:  I know floating has hit mainstream and people def take advantage of it, but please don't discount those doing proper good out there.

"Yes, this is usually what People with actual experience will tell you.

Sitting meditation not in a float tank takes practice, and its free.  Walking meditation takes practice, you can do that and it's free too.  The way of practice is not the key, but the practice itself.  1000 paths lead up the same mountain.

I've done a float spa before.

Its similar I think.

You float in water that makes your body buoyant and you can completely close the pod you're in, have lights on or off and choose to have subtle music.

When I was floating my neck never felt like it could relax.  I wasn't holding my head up because it was floating but my neck felt like it was holding my head, kinda weird.

Most professional clinic type places offer neck pillows of some sort.  The issue is most humans today have bad posture and are leaning forward in the neck/back towards everything in our life.  Computers, Phones, keyboards, sitting chairs, on and on and on.  It def has tension the first time if your posture is not the best.  I felt it immensely my first few.

5-6 floats later, most folk experience a physical shift and it becomes easier and they feel lighter physically in their daily life.  Your body literally starts to re-integrate itself, resetting joints and readjust to be more in harmony with gravity.

Makes sense, they did say that the more you use it the more you will benefit from and become used to the floating sensation.

There was a pillow floating around that I did put behind my neck and it helped with the tension I was feeling.  I'd be willing to try it again, there is one real close to me and they always have groupons going for a decent price.

There is even an oxygen bar in post-float room that you hang out in to kind of wake up.  It's full of essential oils which I love
