Old hard drives
    #24719288 - 10/18/17 11:45 AM (6 years, 3 months ago)

So I have this habit of keeping all used tech, whether it works or not, because maybe some day I'll need it :smirk:

Or that's what I tell myself.

Anyway, today I was going through some of it, and found a few old hard drives. Most of them are dead, a few are really old (a whopping 80MB drive was one), but a few of them were my main drives from years past.

I hooked up each drive just to see if it worked...and I was surprised with two that were goners (dreaded click of death) that now appear to work fine! They just happened to be the two drives that I had with some really old stuff on them!

Don't throw out your dead hard drives!!

the zombie drives pre hallowenn are waking up to take over your flat mwahahahahaaaa they have diablo sombies on them no doubt, i hope

i have an old pc i tried selling with ide drives not sure what its worth now as s system but got little interest and some kocked me down too much to be worth selling imo, thought about using as an xp sp1 machine to run stuff that doesn't work with the newer updates in win 7 etc and logic is oneof them but im using cubase again so might just sell on really cheap to get something back at least and free up space!

that's pretty cool though that it's just up and running form the dreaded click sound ive known in the past to be uncurable without sending it somewhere to be raped financially
