I've been dying to switch from no-pours to pouring my own plates. Tired of the high sides of all the suggested no-pour containers. Problem is, a pack of 500 is way too much for me. Would probably last me 5-6 years haha. Would rather get a pack of 200 for like $35 or so but nowhere I can find has that deal unfortunately

Every once and a while a case of 500 will go on sale for $50 or less on Amazon, just gotta be on the look out.

100$ is like a bag of weed. I'm sure you can afford some dishes somehow.
I can find them for 60-80 shipped all day

You can try steam sterilizing agar. Especially brf agar. We steam brf cakes no problem

Almost finished with my first PF tek and im getting some fatties. So i am gonna try my hand on this agar shit. My buddy scored me a sleeve of dishes and some agar and yeast nutrient from his school then i got some left over LME from brewing so im set. There is one mushie in particular that i am gonna clone, so i guess i should just put him into multiple plates and see how it goes. My noobie questions would be, after i pour, before i wrap them can i just leave the plates in the SAB until they r room temp, then when they r room temp then do tissue transfer? or is there like some sort of waiting period after you pour until you can use? i know its a dumb question.
Also i think im blind but i couldnt find a straight BRF recipe on the list, is it just straight BRF and agar?

i don't know about the brf agar, check fast freds agar book. and yes, you can leave the plates in the sab and use when cool. just be sure to close the arm holes up.

To confirm, finding clone from MS:
1. Biopsy large fast growing fruit to agar 2. Move pin(s) from agar to new dish 3. Repeat step 2??? 4. Test grow
Once you have found your clone will spores be clones as well?

Spores are spores. Theyre always going to reset things back to random.
Step two is wrong. The pin stays on the first dish. You move the leading edge of mycelium to new plates.
