anyone recommend other titles like these?
i know there is a new anime/3d movie coming out in april in japan. dont know when it will hit the mainland. F*CKING BAD ASS GRAPHICS!

Akira is definately a classic.
Ninja scroll is good too,
so is Vampire Hunter D
My favorites are probably Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away.

Have you seen Princess Mononoke? If you liked Spirited away, I'm sure you would like it too. It was put out by the same studio, with alot of the same writers and animators. It's a great one.

I'm just getting into anime recently. I have the animatrix. Saw it shrooming and some parts seriously disturbed me, but the animation is incredible!

My favorite is:
Serial Experiments Lain - a complete maind fuck
Rurouni Kenshin Trust & Betrayal and Refecltion - all of these are sad, but have good action
Hellsing - was ok
Now and there, here and then - I think it's the name, also sad but vey good story.
Perfect Blue - Good story
FLCL - Funny and Wacky as Hell
Gundam 0083 Stardust Memoirs(spelling, I'm tired & just got off work)

i'm a very slow anime fan
i've managed to watch most of these animes before they came to US
Trigun
Cowboy Bebop
Angel Cop
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Furi Kuri(FLCL/Fooly Cooly)
I started Noir.. only got a couple eps into it
I also started hellsing.. and i got to the last couple eps, never continued the "To Be Continued" Episode.. I loved the concepts and all but.. something so empty about that series.. the concepts seemed so ripped from Trigun too
I'm also watching Naruto, awesome anime, episode 76 sub releases tonight
I started Saikano also but I've never got the interest to finish it.. it's just sitting on my HD
I've also seen the typical Akira, Ninjascroll--but never saw Lain, Ghost in the Shell, or Animatrix.. also started with DBZ ;/
whats funny is I've never watched Kenshin and that's a classic
some good current series to watch:
One Piece
Full Metal Alchemist
Prince of Tennis
I haven't seen any of those but from what I hear they're pretty sexy
my recommendation for any anime fan: Naruto, Evangelion

I like cowboy bebop to, and Ranma 1/2... there are so many I like actually. I dont like Vampire Hunter D though, that movie (those movies) is lame and doesnt do Anime justice in my opinion.

Love Hina! Yes thats the name of the series, I always forget the name of it... well yes anyway thats one of my all time favourite comic series. The plot moves really slow and I only get to read so much (from the Manga collection comic book I'm buying monthly) but I'm hooked. I'm dying to see if he finds that girl he met as a kid or if he ever gets into Todai Tokyo University, but I bet the girl he met as a kid is one of the girls (probably Nagarushi(sp?)) at the all-girl's building he's living/working/stressing his ass of at.
If I may add my favourite manga comics:
GTO (Great teacher Ozimaku(sp?)) (this IS my all time favourite but it seems to be really unpopular amongst most manga readers)
and
Chobits

I Have Gundam 0083 (limited editionbox set actually).. Gundam 8th MS team, those r the more childish of the anime's IMO...along with evengelion
then theres trigun, some crazy one about renegade samurai assassins..i can't remember..
i've seen all of Initial D (too many times...its awsome) and a few other serises now and then or incompleatly...

Well what about Invador ZIm that toon is soo funny, but here is one you may not of seen before Triipng the Rift you can stream episode 1 here. Oh and you need realy player but its worth it.
