Cleaning was a breeze. They came off in clusters easily by just bending them over and then used a knife on a cutting board like they were vegetables. All done in 5 minutes

These are WBS jars that I plan to have as masters, for some reason I decided to put the floaters and sticks in one jar and the smaller seed in the other jar just to see what happens I guess
I dropped clean agar wedges in both jars 10 days ago and it took probably 2-3 days for the myc to jump onto the grains. I shook the jars yesterday when the jars were at 20-25% colonized and to my amazement they recovered really fast. I could easily see growth within 8-12 hours. This is about 23-24 hours ago since I shook. Mycelium on the floaters already jumping over to neighboring grain, but the other jar with the smaller grain shows slower growth. I actually expected the opposite. Any inputs?
Jar 1 with the floaters and sticks

Jar 2 with the smaller grain

Also, can someone please explain to me how the Journal works? I want to keep record of my experiments and grows. How do I use the journal the most effective I honestly couldn't find this info after searching. Thanks

looks promising. Hopefully this grow turns out alright, being my first. I'm just ready to see colonization.

Finally starting up a new project! Last one was back in March of last year. Basically had to start from scratch. I had ditched almost everything except for the pressure cooker. It's been fun to buy everything again, knowing exactly what I need and how to use it. Had to get new spores and started with MS in some small WBS jars. These took off and were fully colonized in a week. Transferred a few to quart jars headed for mono. I haven't decided if I want to start agar work from this colonized grain or wait and clone a nice fruit. I know which I should do, but I want to do more NOW

Ham, that spent sub pile is the shit. They are popping up all over the place. I love how some of them have like a blue ring around the edge of the cap.
