pulling away from sides

what it the cause of this (substrate pulling away from the sides of the pan) or whatever one has the substrate in. i think it would be moisture, but what could stop this from happening?

if your talking about a casing its a lack of moisture so to speak. With every flush the casing will give out more water and because of that itll shrink. Thats prolly why

yea, I have the same thing happening to my flower pot patch( http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat...sb=5&o=&fpart=1 )
What i did was put a layer of straw on the top to hold moisture in better, on a casing perhaps you can just put a layer of verm on top so you can spray it directly, and it will keep your casing moist.

yeah but the casing always shrinks away from the sides of the container so im not sure what he's talking about????
