Hello. I have been out for 5 days. left my friend who knows nothing about cultivation to mist some BRF cakes on second flush, so he did and I made a tiny mono from before (Both are P.Cubensis Ecuador), pins were almost at the exact same time. ofc he didnt pick the fruit and I was not there so there was a delay by IDK what time period. A few mushrooms from one cake were very squishy, the rest are tender. But the caps are very dark from spores. Are they safe for consumption?

Currently all of them are drying

if it's becoming goo then it's rotting, otherwise you're fine.

I have used coir 18 months after hydrating. Was fine. The real issue isn't that coir has a shelf life, it's that sometimes it's a product with poor quality and sometimes may have seeds etc in it. Those seeds will contam if they are present and it's spawned in open air.

I usually give ms a 2nd. I don't bother with a good clone cause it usually gives it all in the first, if it doesn't that clone isn't kept.

I'm too cheap to buy a light so I wired up an old flash light to run off of a USB cord powered by a phone charger.

I've never had coir go bad with mold or funk smell..
