Oh, I did talk to Holofractal a little bit about a month ago. They said they are well, and grew a bunch of azzies. I think they’re busy.

Here’s a really cool presentation the local group put on. I think this really helped give a picture to our relationship with this particular mushroom, our history with it, and just how fucking complicated we make it today.
Be honest LT... It was the story of Dickie Bird inventing the cardboard tek that got you to change your mind on cardboard, wasn't it?

Right on. We all take our breaks from time to time.

Hello friends,
I have access to both wheat and rye bran for the same price per kg. All hardwood sawdust preps I see call for wheat bran, but would rye bran be a better choice?

I don't think they care to start. Just go to wood afterwards.

I would ask over in gourmets, this is an actives thread, no need for brans with any of these.

The room was at about 56-58. I put plastic on all my windows for winter, now that room is 60 F.

Oops. Just found this behind my shop. Was supposed to go to a buddies months ago. He never mentioned it, so like most, doesn’t have what it takes. Only interested in the fruit.

People really are that lame. Sad, as it’s a consequence of modern day consumer capitalism and our need for immediate satisfaction. Finding them and or growing them yourself is leaps and bounds more rewarding. Just as taking the time to build an intimate relationship with a friend, family member, or partner provides deeper connection and subsequent experiences. Building an intimate relationship with a mushroom and its habitat does the same. It deepens the level of appreciation and broadens horizons and viewpoints. Anyways…I just brought some well developed ovoid mycelium inside to see if I can get it to fruit like I did a few winters ago. The only difference this time is it’s not mycelium that’s produced any fruits in the past. Will update when and if I get some pins.

Literally a tub with spawn from a spot I made outside, on top of a garbage bag liner, and the lid not all the way on. Misting a couple times a day. Worked well last time.

If all goes well I'm also getting a print from that. Or at least 'some undescribed woodlover' from India. These are pics of them:

Also, I have germination from spores of another woodlover, this time from Indianapolis, US. Think its new name is now: Psilocybe caeruleorhiza nom. prov.
Do we know the fruiting temps and native substrates of the Indian WL? And I'm gonna need a print of that Indianapolis WL from someone... Maybe I should just drive 60 miles and find some...
Those are ovoids 🤔
