Seems that azurescens print is not so old maybe. On my last agar plates from Feb 07, only azurescens have some growth so far

Alenii print was labeled 2017,the others I don't know how old they are. Still, I will keep for some more time those jars, even if they look to you moldy.

TWM- I'm about to set up my beds in SF. I plan on watering mine occasionally. I had a few pots with p.cyan myc and chips. It was from last year and it never fruited I suspect it got too dried out in the summer and early fall.

If i were to add blackberry bush chippings to the bed, as i've seen done with great success here on other threads (as well cyans and alleni are known to do very well under blackberries), how small would I want the chips to be? thanks!
@chk.hntr
Yeah I'm really glad I finally got the bed properly setup, its rained a few times sense so its just in prime conditions. I was proscraniting like a week and then I realized it was time to act. In the next few days ill be adding the final alder wood, blackberry chips, and then final mix before letting set for awhile. The mycelium mulch is crazy healthy, so I'm really hoping I can get some fruits this next year!

It's best to have a mixed size of any type of wood, I mix chips with logs so that the myc has lots of food even after it years through the chips.

These were froma jar that were moldy as shit, little bit still there but they Look pretty good now. Stocking cyans in a big horseradish patch in the middle of the yard. The horseradish really keeps the ground moist under the big leaves.

Here's the patch I have going, tomorrow I'll take some close ups of the myceliated chips, there buried underneath a shallow layer of more mulch to protect them - but they are evenly spread throughout the entire patch. In the coming days im gonna cover it with a bunch of leaves to hopefully let it do its thing properly. I estimate it's about 24 sq ft. Hopefully big enough to get some nice hauls.
I put it in this area where there is ivy and grasses growing up for a more moist microclimate, the patch I found was pretty much the exact same conditions where the most fruits where up in the ivy. So i tried to mimic the natural patch as much I could.
Will update again better tommorow.

Well I finally got my backyard SF, CA beds going. Planted a bunch of P.azurescens myc and P.cyanescens myc both started from spore prints I took from ‘wild’ collections the cyan from SF and the azzy from OR.
Planted strawberry’s, coyote mint, and rosemary with it. Also added a bunch of fresh soaked woodchips

Ps damn that myc smelt sooo good, sweet fresh and earthy!

Heyy
Am nicely on my way spawning / expanding Gymnopilus purpuratus, ovoids, Psilocybe weraroa and other exotics, on pasteurized beech chips right now mostly.
I wonder if there are symbiotic relationships known or suspected of Psilocybe weraroa, anything like Ps. cyan with grass?

It wasn’t bad, I was always a little scared about what it the paralysis was going to be like, but I just got all wobbly, I had a good day of chores planned out and I love doing things while tripping. I made tea with 4 grams of ovoids, I know that is typically noted as a large dose, but a couple years back I ate 2 grams and barely got high, so I figured they were weak ovoids or something. So I drank the tea, fed my lambs, measured out a fence line and started getting stuff ready for planting some fruit trees. I could feel the mushrooms start to kick In. I fired up my lawn mower to haul some mulch around, stepped off to let it warm up and my legs felt like rubber, felt like I was sinking into the ground, my wife looked at me and asked “are you ok to drive that thing?” And I was like, I need to go lay down on the couch. It was the most intense I’d ever tripped. Everything was moving, tears, hysterical laughing, seeing shapes of sheep and shit on the walls, after about maybe an hour and a half of laying down i was able to stand and walk, but my muscles were all like limp rubber and the room felt like it was trifling through space, and the dimensions were all off and shifting. It was good to sit and lay down some more. Even after coming back to reality I could feel like little tremors in my legs as I walked, I must have drank the tea around 1:30 and still felt the tremors after 6, I felt amazing, still feel amazing, god damn, what a great trip!

Thanks for writing up the report thats wild. Four G’s is an ambitious amount. With tea and lemon tek prep it usually hits me pretty hard and even non-woodlovers make it so I can’t walk during the peak. A few weeks ago I tripped on 1g Panaeolus cyan’s and after being stuck for 3,1/2 hours I went for a 5mile hike and it took a long time to get back into my legs.
It was like trying to make a tight fist first thing after waking up in the morning, the power just isn’t there but rather than in the hands it’s the entirety of both legs.
I wonder if these instances are just a symptom of being very intoxicated on psilocybin. The more scary woodlover paralysis accounts I’ve read are people unable to walk or use some part of their body once back at baseline sometimes a day or two later.
Sounds like an amazing trip also your wife sounds super cool too “are you ok to drive that thing?” LMAO

Yeah man, sounds like a super intense and enjoyable trip. Thanks for sharing🤙 So one of the popcorn jars I had going with azures started to contam. I placed what kernels I could find that looked healthy and transferred them into an egg carton with some small alder chips. It’s starting to take and looking beautiful.

It wasn’t a negative experience, but I got to a pretty warm dry comfy spot right away. Reminded me of drinking liquor on anti depressants when I was a kid on a frozen lake pissed and numb, but just the good parts cause this time I wasn’t blacked out and wet. like if I had to go to the bathroom I would have had to piss myself cause there was no way I would have been able to walk let alone manage a zipper. I peaked and gradually started getting a little more control, but even hours after when my head was back to normal I’d lose a leg for a second when I was walking. I’ve read some bad stories of people getting hung up on shit or their face tensing up, but I didn’t have that. My breathing wasn’t effected, but once I started coming back I had some incredible gas, like my guts were tensed up and finally relaxed and let it all out in one big bubble, that was uncomfortable. Also I’m exhausted from parenting a one year old and putting late nights into my hustle, and on an antibiotic.?? There’s almost no real studies on WLP that I know of, so maybe exhaustion or antibiotics have something to do with it. I just think it was my own way of forcing me to put my projects and work aside, and my body telling me to sit the fuck down and chill out, that I don’t need to be constantly “doing shit”. Funny how I wasn’t impressed with ovoids, I’ve taken them a few times but they never hit me hard, my cubes always seemed quite stronger, but god damn, they got me good yesterday. Cant wait to do that again.
