I've finally found who I have gotten my Azzies from. They are from Primal Call. Damn, he's not been around for 1 year and 1 month now. I hope he's doing alright!

This is his pic, I have received the print from one of these fruits.

Guys,

I'm attempting to grow cyanescens in an outdoor, alder chip tub. Last night it was in the low 40's in San Francisco.  This morning, to my horror, I discovered this growing in the chips.

What the hell is it?  Can anyone identify this odd beastie? Should I remove it?  Please advise.

Thanks,

Tom

Could be slug eggs but Im not sure. Other than that - maybe slime mold?

Guys,

I appreciate your input.  The tub is on my polycarbonate deck on the top floor of a four story building.  The tub is elevated two inches above the deck on wooden dowels.  There is no soil or foliage anywhere nearby.

I haven't seen any slugs.  There are tiny bugs, like gnats or fruit flies, crawling on the chips and flying near the tub. I kill them every chance I get.  And I have spiders living around the lip of the tub that should help with critter control.

They do look like eggs.  If they are bug eggs, should I remove them? What kind of bugs eat mycelium or shrooms?

Thanks again.

They are snail or slug eggs.

I'm perplexed.  The nearest soil and vegetation is four stories down. How the hell did a snail or slug get into the tub? Did it actually crawl up the side of my four story building because it had a premonition that there was a tub of wood chips on my deck?  Amazing!

Must have been a hitch-hiker. I've never seen slugs climb walls. Let alone that high.

I removed and pitched a few egg-laden chips.  Then I used a spoon to scoop out the other visible eggs.  When the spoon contacted the eggs and I applied pressure, the eggs dissolved into cream-colored, runny, puss-like goo.  I scooped it out.

Perhaps that delectable description will assist in positively identifying the culprit.

saw dust, chips, your grainspawn will colonize outside just fine in my exepeirience. this was just grain spawn added to straight wood, outside, just under 2 weeks.

the rest of pan was straight rain soaked fressh alder.

We are about a month away from the middle of summer and these are still pumping out fruits

Check out market place tomorrow guys

Time to share the love...
