This is my original post as I’d like to spread them all around the PNW
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26254987

Well my grain to Alder Wood chips has worked really well and successfully here
it is the middle of August and I already have pins poking up

I have a unique set up to keep the slugs away from the mushrooms ,
they are sitting on a cart with the tubs placed in between ladder runs this keeps the slugs from being able to go up into the containers

Great job. Nice idea w/ladder. Dam slugs will ruin a flush overnight.

The pins in the first shot appear to resemble P.cubensis more so than P.cyans. Any updates on their development?

My cyanescens in a mini fridge still pushing on

Had to recase it and within a day started to come through all over. Hopefully that will be the nudge it needed to at least pop something out.

Started aztecorum a while back. Just took this picture today of the myc growing out on pine needle debris stuff I collected a few weeks back near Keystone, CO:

I currently have this in a 15q tub in a fairly cold basement room.

Trying out an indoor Ovoideocystidiata experiment for shits and gigs. An inch of river sand/rocky soil..an inch of wood chips colonized...with a thin layer of the casing on top. The tub on the right I froze the colonized substrate overnight and the tub on the left I refrained from doing so. Will be an interesting experiment nonetheless. Inspired by the past indoor grows and thankful for all the advice given especially from the OG mushpuppet and his blue foot Bethany grows. Pic 1: frozen colonized sub. Pic 2: colonized sub. Pic 3: the tubs indoors.

I have some ovoid indoors too in a cooler that I diy made a temp controlled refrigerator out of. I kept it in 45 for about 4-5 days and just moved it up to 50. I’m about to start working on a mini fridge fruiting chamber pretty soon

Nice man do you plan on moving into a regular tub near a window? Since the species fruits in the temperatures that reach above room temp? At least all the grows I’ve seen being successful had natural sunlight provided near a window, being heavily misted and provided with as much air exchange as possible. Either way keep us posted your cyan tub looks freakin amazing. If you’re in the pnw I’d throw that outside come September or October when the temps start to drop and rains falls heavy.! I’m excited to see if my tubs end up fruiting in the next month or so.
