My in-laws chopped down an oak in June and chipped a bunch of it up. My question is would those chips be okay to try and work with next spring after sitting around so long? I hate to see hundreds of pounds of hardwood chips just go to waste. Edit: I have been lurking on this thread for months and I love it. I cannot wait to get into working with woodlovers once I can get some spores.

@holofractal I love these indoor updates. It is going to be badass when alot of people are doing this in the near future following your lead. @ everybody I asked this a few days ago, but no one responded so I will ask again. I have access to alot of oak chips, but they have been sitting since June would they still be good to use come spring? I love this thread, and all the work you all have put into cultivating woodlovers. I cannot wait to start working with them.

Thank you. I saw your instructional step by step post yesterday. Thanks for helping us noobs out. I was planning on following the proper procedures. I was mainly wondering about the age of the wood. It sounds dumb as I am typing this. Now to acquire some spores.

The way that cap is upturned I thought you had taken a giant bite out of it before you took the picture. Beautiful fruits.

Hunter you shouldn't have worried about those prints being dirty. Azurescens on agar. Four out of four looking damn good. Hopefully I don't fuck it up.

Edit: Realized I didn't explicitly say it, thank you for taking a chance and sending me the print HunterHunter. You and people like you are what make this place amazing. Keep it up brother!

Speaking of azurescens, is this germ plate trying to pin?

The wood quarts are azurescens and the wbs quarts are cyanescens. The pint of wbs is azurescens that I shook at 100% and I am waiting to see if it recovers. Thank you Nef and HunterHunter!

I finally got my Ps. Cyanescens out in an identical bed to my azurescens.
And here they are together. Azurescens on the left, cyanescens on the right. Thank you again hunterhunter for the azurescens and thank you nef for the cyanescens.

I hope life gets better for you soon. You have many friends and well wishers here. I hope you know that. I am eternally grateful to you for those sub spores you sent me. Thank you again.
On a woodlovers note, you all make me want to be a better grower. My azurescens bed is looking decent, but springtails may have gotten my cyanescens bed. I am going to keep faithfully watering them until it gets way to cold. Fingers crossed.

First ever woodlover! In my azurescens patch. Thank you again hunterhunter! Edit: also thank you to all of you in this thread for the excellent information you provide. I definitely could not have done it without you all.
