Here is a pint of Suba on a mix of oats, barley, millet and RGS. Nice fluffy white clouds but still a fast colonizer.

A few bags
Serbica on paper pellet substrate with pine shavings added. I have another older sub in a pot outside on fuel pellets, coir, pine and cacti soil.

AlleniI on fortified woodchips, straw, soil, wpoo, gypsum.

Subaeruginosa on fuel pellets, straw, soil, wpoo, gypsum

Azurescens on fortified wood chips, fuel pellets, straw, soil, wpoo, gypsum

Cyanescens on fortified wood chips, fuel pellets, straw, soil, wpoo, gypsum

Have you tried or considered wild bird seed (WBS), I found that the shells help with transfer to cellulose substrates. I believe the composition of the shells closely resembles enriched wood, opposed to naked grain.
Thank you Ferather, I use a combination of oat/barley/millet/RGS in equal amounts by volume for spawn.

These are 1/4 pint 'no pour' agar with fuel pellets on top. Cyan is on the left, Allenii on the right, both now completely dry. You have to really let them consolidate or they tend to fall apart when you pull them from the jar. Using them to inoculate subs works so so, it takes a while for signs of growth.

Maybe to inoculate your pinecones, you could put a few kernels of colonized corn on it then remove them once the myc transfers? After seeing the coffee sack idea, maybe you could make a mini version with cubes and CV then lay it on top of your pinecones or other test subs?
Pretty cool pinecones regardless!

For printing smaller mushrooms, I place them on foil with a damp piece of paper towel on top of the caps then sealed in plastic container, usually wait 48hrs.

Im mainly interested in whether or not they fruit from logs or soils
Last time I fruited pseudoaztecorum it was on grain>CVG+fuel pellets.
I have a pot and a grow bag with Sebica, both have shredded pine bedding as part of their subs. The bag is made with paper pellets and pine shavings+, the pot has sawdust, straw and chips. Hopefully this fall I can see some Serbica fruits!
I originally ordered a small bag of overpriced bedding before I found a giant bag of shredded pine bedding at the farm supply store for the same price. You might check there? It's a great place to buy grains too!
Good luck!

I suppose the answer is both? Vitamin C in a multi vitamin is typically from ascorbic or citric acid. Plus, various elements have been chemically modified to allow better absorption by the human body.

Baba Yaga said: Beautiful, this might actually be a good way to transfer away from bacterial contamination it seems. Just put a transfer in a sterile dish without anything in it and then swab to transfer mycelium. Would be even easier than water agar if it works.
The mycelium is growing on residue from the MEA agar's condensation. I do use this method for cleaning up agar. Take a dirty piece of agar to the wall of a clean jar. As soon as the mycelium grows enough to touch the new agar, transfer to new jar, repeat until clean. You can take transfers straight from the glass too.

Land Trout said: Yoshi, what’s you plan for the gyms? Don’t know if you saw small talks gym grow on coir without wood, that looks like the best rout I’ve seen.
Thank you LandTrout, I will look at SmallTalk's grow. This jar already went into a sterile bag of straw, compost, soil, Wpoo and hard/soft wood pellets. I already goofed with this bag, I meant to use hardwood and not add the compost. It should be fine. Thankfully I have more jars coming, along with some other incredible genetics from a kind member.

There's not much to see, whats important to note is that they grew easily for me, pinned easily, but they did not enjoy unmodified cube fae indoors (whoah, how surprisijng) they showed this by long thin stems, and tiny caps.
Taken outside to a porch they became much more healthy - the open air hole of a unmodified cofee pot - yes the one you have coffee inn - fruited heavily for 6 months, and enjoyed outside more than anything.
this was on corn + coir. they basically ate the entire sub before stopping even visible reducing the coir
Thank you Smalltalk, I'll take all the first hand info I can get! I plan to do 1 shoebox indoors with an airpump/bubbler attached and attempt an outdoor trashcan too. They look beautiful in pictures, hopefully I'll be lucky enough to see them in person.
It has only been spawned for a few days and it is maybe 1/2 way through the bulk, definitely a hungry species!

Pretty much what LT said, not needed and makes spotting contams harder. I use plain MEA for everything now.
