For azures, I boil chips in crockpot. Gets most moisture. Not rage boil just heat soak maybe half hr. Then into mason jars with tyvek layer and holes in metal lid.
I think yours is too open and dry. Bet you could case with soil and myc would take to your chips there.
Keep up the trials. You'll find strong myc soon:cheers:

I've got ovoids extremely happy in a tub in a bigger tub in cold cellar :awedance:
They are loving temps very cool and the thaw after freezing.
Nearly ate all wood then it must fruit I hope

How you said they hit in 15min.
Expect the quick punch in face of azures excellent psilocyn load :bigyesnod:
It is beautiful

Beach pickers often nab nasty giants.
I'd just guess they gotta get beaten going back home to dry too. Nasty bacterial batches wud make for reports of "side effects" IMO. I never am beach hunter. Old cat only finding bed fruits. They are the cream of the crop.

Nice project mad hatter:thumbup:
Dunno how it'll do. Once you get growth get it on wood fast as possible.
They like open fresh air ALOT more than azures I play with sometimes.
Ovoids explode on chips once established.
I throw box elder branches in the mix they last lil longer than chips make great mix of consistency in food

Yes. Only cultivated.
They were weak IMO ( at least culture I had ) so I gave those away with no regret.

A friend just said "azies do mindfuck me" lol

Which I say they have ( full potential) experience quite often.

My azure are clean quick and potent enuf lol

A "mind fuck" is expected but just don't actually go fetal position puddle and your ok. Lol

I never hear of negative experiences in my circles.

I gotta lie, say they are gone

Everyone is "wired" a little differently it's tough to really gauge differences in experiences.
Interesting you like cyans and have cool report of experience.
I only play with azures ( waiting for voids )
I do agree with you though Stevo - each type may have slight different properties and wild / cultivated could also make dif in trips.
I bet quite a few ppl also pick plethora of actives off of treated aged lumber and get ill after ingesting a lot of the bad crap.
I think chip beds are super neat.
Like organic gardening.
Keep it clean and damn they taste good ( better ) and such a clean yet powerful ride

I had San Francisco cyan culture from old member here.
Wat ever I got going in wisco was not worth my efforts after I've been spoiled with azures.
Last yr I had azi caps as large as wide mouth mason lids. Thick too I shuda let them go longer!
I think azure are tough.
I don't get to play firsthand with many others
But I cud step on pins- 99% still grow mega mutant. Some like plants getting pinched, azures grow large and like wisco cold rains the best.

Most of your pics labeled " azures" look spot on.
I wouldn't argue as cultivated fruits can vary in appearance.
Inski has so many awesome grows , some begin with weird mutants untill he dials in real environmental factors where they originally fruited.

I see some "serbica" looks in your serbicas too.
Just is tough to gauge with pictures.
I know they hide well.

Hot damn you have the most epic fall there brother :congrats::leafromp:

Enjoy the azies. Don't expect more than a quick ride to the top. You've been there before. 1.5 dry or less you'll love em if you don't hide under blankets

I've seen plenty of nice looking cyans on here other ppl post, mine weren't the greatest and prolly didn't like our harsh quick climate here compared to SF . Not knocking them, just saying go azure I bet you don't regret it.
But I agree, you must aid them, coax a lil, but dang worth it.
Just a hose when dry, plus pile of leaves on top makes them so happy it's sick.

I'm working on pine plantation spots with hurried hardwood chips for voids.
Your posts are great thx for sharing.
Keep it up Stevovoid

If it's freezing straight two-three days highs in low 30F your done.
If it's your rainy wet fall, month or two till mega snow your plenty fine.
My azures survive nights in freezing or below, just not prolonged periods of solid deep freeze.
Cover your bed with pile of DEAD LEAVES BRO
Water before , and water after you pile leaves.
They will make it 100%
Leaf cover is their natural humidity dome and shelter

I think freezing sends many species into hibernation. If azures survive neg 20f I'd say many more can survive winters too
Find nature, in nature a whole shitload of fungi plus plants survive dormant winter periods.
It's not "crazy"
I believe another evolutionary trait they had,or gain

I've found ovoid like chips that went thru freezing, to thawing. They rage once wood turn dark color and the ovoids seem so strong and fast and bright white rhizo
