remember readin a thread a lil while back about how someone was rubbing their caps with their finger, had an open cut, and experienced a trip... searched for the thread and was unable to find it.... anyone have experience with this... thought it'd be some funny shit if it worked.... anythin?

Same here. It was just a suggestion, as all other ways of shrooming besides eating don't work. Now, if you had pure psilocybin, then you could experiment much easier with different techniques, but nobody in their right mind is going to insufflate or inject a fungus.

And the good part about plugging is that if they don't work, they're probably not going anywhere. You can just use them orally after a couple hours if you don't notice it kicking in yet

Maybe a thought;
is pure psilocybin even possible or suitable for consumption; or would it be too harsch because of the absence of other alkaloids in the mushrooms ?

of course it would be suitable for consumption. psilocybin is the main chemical in shrooms, the other chemicals are basically just analouges and by-products of psilocin. synthetic psilocin isn't a reasonable thing for a chemist to make.. because is so much damn easier to just grow some shrooms
just eat the shrooms, enough with this plugging and insuffalating. they're mushrooms not some pure powder, if you want them to hit you faster make a tea... its simple
