That's also if the media supports growth of whatever is in your grains.

You can screw a hands free paper towel dispenser on to the side if you want to.

I’m pretty sure paper towels are banned from his household because they are wasteful.
That is a great idea however, will have to take note for my future build

Maybe if you used your fingers to do it. But with proper procedure it's no more of a vector than doing a g2g or making a transfer.

Hi everyone, I am Roomie and a first time grower. I did some research for a long time before deciding to grow mushrooms instead of aquiring em elsewhere, whenever i got 'that' feeling which comes couple times a year.
The syringe contained PE spores and were inoculated into jars of brf & verm and it took a long time, around 4.5 - 5 weeks to colonize due to temps or due to strain itself?
As I birthed only 1 cake I tried to built a cake chamber for it. No idea what to call it. (Feel free to name it)
Heres a picture

-perlite on bottom -6 holes on the top -6 holes on the perlite level -6 holes at the bottom -4 closing clips so i can leave 2 open for FAE
Funny thing is it seems working. 2 days after birth they started forming primordia and giving a nice few pins. Is this normal as I've read PE is really grower.
More pics

If anyone got suggestions or ideas how to improve this or such, please do so
