trippers that have found god
    #24640772 - 09/18/17 01:17 PM (6 years, 6 months ago)

I don't use the word God because it triggers me and ultimately think it can be avoided. I was thinking about tripping with this Shaman guy and he makes some good points but I feel like he talks down to me when I say things like, I don't believe you're any better off than I am. I'm miserable and he's like it's because your way of life is harder not realizing God or some shit. I just feel like it's condescending. And he's like that's your ego... let go of your opinion of me. Anyone else experience this? It feels culty and arrogant.

I prefer alone. An experience between you and the plant/fungus alone.

Even if being alone is the hardest thing in the world for me??? Guy with ptsd here from child abuse. I tell myself this is so stupid every time I make plans to trip. Maybe that's my ego?

You don't find God, God finds you and if it's that important it usually means one of your friends may die accidently or something

If his words were not truthful, they would not have any impact on you. You're seeing your shadow.
The ego wants to prove others wrong.
If the word God triggers you, then you should examine why. Replace it with something more comfortable, like the Divine, or Goddess, or the All, or something and see if you can't get to the bottom of it. You'll see what he means when you experience it yourself, but it requires a little shadow work on your part.
Shamans tend to help others heal themselves. The real shaman is you.

I just don't see why it's necessary to bring it up at all. It's trigger g because I seriously don't understand what people are talking about when they say god, and honestly, I don't think they understand whAt they are talking about either, and that's what scares me I believe.

It wouldn't be affecting me if it weren't true? If someone was telling me that I need to really read and understand the importance of Harry potter, I would feel disturbed also. Mainly because how can something be so important? For example, look at movies like the matrix or the fountain. There was no mention of the word God in either, and yet their meaning was profound.
