How long to isloate Cakes
    #2464192 - 03/23/04 05:13 PM (14 years, 30 days ago)

I have two cakes that are possibly contaminated See here and i have them isolated from the rest of my cakes right now so they aren't in the incubator, i was wondering how long should i wait until i put them back in the incubator? Its been almost 3 days since they were taken out and since then the brown growth has not grown at all.

based on the photos you posted i would go ahead and birth the cakes, see if the brown marks were from a contam or if they were on the cake. If on the cake, you should cut them off with a sterile knife and continue as normal. If their on the jar, than yr okay!
either way, the only way to find out is to birth em
i say go for it.

According to the pic's, from what I can tell it looks like Myc piss. If it hasn't grown or gotten worse in three days, I'd say there was no contamination. IMO!

Cool its definately on the glass, but the cakes are only a week and a half old so i'm gonna have to wait alittle longer to birth them and find out for sure. But a few people have said myc piss.
