You are just making things up. The protocols are not secret. The people "in charge" are the miners, both pools and individuals. Its ruled by majority of mining power. No single miner has a majority of mining power. Thousands of people from individual users to exchanges to mining pools conduct transactions every day. Both automated and manual. All transactions are clear to see in the block chain. All coins are accounted for in every transaction. There is no rounding, there is no skimming. Simple addition is all you need to check. Your fear is a product of your ignorance.

but you said yourself it only goes to 8 decimal place, it could go more and just be hidden. for something to be so accurate, why stop at 8?
i guess what you dont know wont hurt you anyway

Simple addition is all you need to check. I don't know why you don't understand that... Its not hard. Its elementary school level math. If there were nine digits and 0.000000001 was skimmed, the total in my wallet would be off. There is no rounding.
Furthermore, as I said the protocols are not secret. All transactions are visible in the blockchain. Nothing is "hidden". Anonymity only comes from not associating yourself with your private key.
You really don't understand bitcoin at all. Most people who criticize bitcoin are ignorant of it.

how would the total of your wallet be off if they skimmed you from the 9th decimal but always kept it between 1-9 so it would never affect the 8th decimal you are able to see and account for?

Then I have lost nothing... Everybody's 9th decimal would get skimmed down to zero, then there would be nothing left to skim else addition would revel the scheme. How would people even get a non-zero value for their 9th decimal in your scenario? They couldn't. All existing bitcoins have been issued in lumps of 12.5, 25, and 50. That is, 12.50000000, 25.00000000, and 50.00000000.

Hey all,
I am completely new to CC, so correct me if i am wrong please.
But from what i understand, CC is stored in wallets rite? And these wallets are stored on servers, rite?
But with all this hacking going on, isn't it better to just store your wallets on multiple drives/sticks and store them somewhere save? Or is that not possible? How does it work!
