Financial Markets * 1
    #24635643 - 09/16/17 03:31 PM (6 years, 6 months ago)

One of the greatest lecures ever recorded on film discussing the topic of modern economics

This is a must watch for anyone interested in the global economy

12:30 "when i see a bubble forming i rush into buy, adding fuel to the fire and thats not irrational and thats why we need regulators to counter act the market"

in his own words ladies and gentlemen, the man is simply begging us to stop him

Snooze fest.

I prefer not to understand much of anything, speak very loudly as if I understood it all, to finally wander mindless and unaware upon the killing room floor where my throat will be promptly slit.

It's called contrarian investing, and it wasn't invented by Soros. It's a widely used strategy.

I don't plan on making this an integral part of my life like you do, so I think I'll probably be okay.

i never claimed he invented it, he says in his own words that all of what he describes is not actually invented or first thought of by him

he simply is one of the people in the world who is able to understand this information most applicably because hes been researching it for his entire life

my point is that this video is one of the best lectures given on the subject matter

this is a money forum so this pertains to the subject matter

that one quote i picked out was just one of particular interest it has only a speck of relevance to the greater entirety of the lecture

i can smell your a puppet from a mile away LOL

for your clarification i was only facepalming that statement because hes RIGHT and most people would never realize it till it was too late

he is a genius and you know it thats why your trying to degrade this argument away from the actual video itself

watch the video and talk about what you see or dont post, im not going to entertain your derailment any further

have a good day shill

Most people don't have even a rudimentary grasp of economics, so they probably would be as blown away as you by this piece of information.

Something tells me that you likely have problems much closer to home than overarching world affairs that you should be worrying about.:lmafo:

What gets me about about people like Soros and Buffet is that they point out and sort of half heartedly decry all these flaws, but they continue to profit and perpetuate the same system.

It's like how tech companies lobby to rig tax codes in their favor and park billions offshore in order to pay nothing on their profits, but then point to the USA's financially collapsing school system and say, "If the United States had better schools we wouldn't need to import so many foreign workers to fill the engineer positions at our companies."

heres another fantastic one, his first actually

14:07

"I continued to cherish the fantasy that the concept of reflexivity constitutes a major contribution to our understanding of the world in which we live, I believed that the participants bias is key to an understanding of all historical processes that have thinking participants. Just as genetic mutation is the key to biologic evolution. But a satisfactory definition of the key to relexivity continued to elude me. I always ran into trouble when I tried to define what I meant by the imperfect understanding of the participants. To speak accurately of a distortion we must know what the situation would be if it were not distorted by the participants perceptions."
