Well thankfully there is actual genetic testing being done to correct many of the old mistakes in taxonomy.

If it's not sclerotia, it's a contam. Try cloning it, see what you get. Maybe Bod has a better answer? I don't have experience with pans or sclerotia.

Panaeolus subbalteatus makes sclerotia. But all the atl7 galindoi tampa etc is mexicana
Panaeolus subbalteatus is also known as Panaeolus Cinctulus.

Was probably a Panaeolus Cinctulus/Subbalteatus. They are a very common mushroom in the northern hemisphere.

So I don't have a pic for today but this is a bag photo'd in early to late stage of fruit formation.
I'm gonna start taking photos in the same spot so I can do that cool time lapse thing I've seen recently.

I'm still trying to decide if that first pic is the same bag but I think It is I must have moved it to the other side of the tub.
edit: now after looking at it I believe it is NOT the same bag but either way another nice one...

Speaking of... I've been worried about Muda. I know he gets busy in the summer work season but I have not seen a post from him for many months.

I'm pretty new at this, never tried SA before. Smeared SA spores on oat water, corn syrup, and potato/sawdust/molasses based agar dishes. (Color coded)

Yes. South American from Eddittys Sporesplosion. Sorry that was vague. Just noticed subs are sometimes called sa too. Haven't successfully fruited anything but gourmets so far. Im set up for agar now but I was using a dirty needle before I guess. Everytime I tried cubes the tub or cake or spawn ended up buried in my back yard. I'm pretty sure I saw a squirrel running around with a third eye today.
