I bought a big electric sterilizer and have no idea what I got 1

Found this sterilizer on Craigslist today. It was only $40 so i scooped it up. It's pretty big and has a 220 volt heating element in the bottom. The girl I bought it from said she got it when she was working for the state fish hatchery. She said the biology department used it many years ago before they retired it because they got a big industrial sterilizer
Here is the heating element and the inside

It also contains a big rack

This is the only identifying marks i could find

Anyone ever seen one like this? Any idea what i have/
I think it's going to be a good sterilizer. I'm going to clean it up and make sure the relief valve is clear and opening and give her a test run in the morning
Edit: Just stuffed 20qt jars on those racks. Score

Oh it's going to work. If I have to fix it so be it but its going to work. I have to get a proper outlet for it and run a line to the breaker box and install one of those double breakers for 220.

Just did a continuity check with the volt meter. Everything checks out. Should work. I just don't have any way to plug it in. My 220 outlets are different. Guess I could steal the cord off my dryer but I been drinking

I'm running a dedicated line for it from the breaker box. I'll just get a receptacle that matches the cord

What do you mean? By cram I just mean fill it to the max. Like put a spacer in the bottom, get rid of the insert and fill it to the brim with jars. Does cram have a definition I'm not aware of?

Sort of, and it's related to loading spawn bags into the sterilizer without spacers. Anywho, I'd ditch the insert too, or at least modify the insert to where it only covered the heating element. Nice score though, too.

Cut the whole thing down to a single rack that protects the media vessels from the heating element. Should be able to cram many spawn bags down into there after that.

Yea I'm about to break out the cutoff wheel in a min. Will spawn bags stick together just crammed in a monster pc like that?

No. They do stick together a little bit after a sterilization cycle. Nothing detrimental though. You just have to be mindful of the way you take the bags out of the sterilizer after sterilization is all, so ya don't break the vacuum seals (Tyvek wrist sleeves).
